Maybe this wasn't as good of an idea as she thought.
It was PAX, and Sam was shivering. In this world, there were two classifications of humans: the Giants and the Tinies. They're both human, but as the name suggests, they are separated by their vast size difference. One half of a country would be inhabited by Giant humans, while the Tiny humans would populate the rest, never crossing over with each other. Why was this rule so strict? Because the Tinies are so fragile, and when the law wasn't enforced in the past, they were dying out quickly from Giants purposely (in some cases accidentally) killing them.
Sam was a part of the Tiny humans, and she was only two inches tall. The tallest human Tiny ever recorded was nine inches tall, but some scientists speculate that that Tiny had just taken steroids or something along those lines. Being only in her teen years of age, two inches tall for a Tiny was considered short.
Jack, Sam's childhood hero, was a Giant human. The exact reason she was at PAX for. The exact reason she was shivering. Watching his videos with her phone, he wasn't as big as other Tinies said he was that'd seen him (in the distance). No Tiny had ever seen Jack up close before. Sam would be the first.
A deal was arranged that Sam could meet Jack at a specific time during the Meet n' Greet. Jack was aware of this, but the reason why the specific fan had an assigned and reserved time for him, he didn't understand. He had no idea Sam was a Tiny human.
She was just waiting outside the room where Jack was waiting for her patiently to arrive. Sam was trembling like crazy at this point. She had planned everything she was going to say to him days before, and she even recited them- now all of that "hard work" had blasted out the window of her head. She can't remember anything she was going to say. Sam was basically walking into this blind. She wasn't ready for this, but she couldn't go back now.
The door was already opening.
