When your eyes first fluttered open, the only thing you could make out was darkness. An empty, lifeless void with light absent of any sources to be found. The chilling atmosphere prickled your delicate skin like daggers. You'd been knocked out, honestly wishing that- who you finally came to terms with was truly Anti- had finished his business with you in your unconscious state. Was this your unconscious state right now? Were you just dreaming? Unfortunately for you, it certainly wasn't. This was Anti's home sweet home, and you were not getting out.
The whole ordeal of why this character suddenly came to life and is now hunting you down in cold blood was the last of your concerns. Your biggest concern now was simply surviving. Broad, to be sure, but meaningful beyond belief in your dreadful circumstances.
Settling yourself to your feet, you observed the area around you once more. This feeling crawled through your head like you were trapped in some kind of limbo. Every little noise you made emit an ethereal echo, making you nearly nauseous to your stomach just listening to it.
"Hello?!" You called out, simply for sake of chancing the idea that maybe... just maybe... someone else was in this purgatory with you. Your throat was tattered and hoarse, red and bruised from Anti's strict chokehold on it earlier.
"Hello~..." An amused response sneered back mere moments after. Even as to what was clearly meant to be a quiet wisp of an answer, the voice was abnormally louder than for what it should've been.
As the voice clearly came from behind you, you slowly yet hesitantly turned back to see the speaker. Not even halfway about your turn, however, a line from earlier recollected in your head.
"... in the meantime I solved a thing or two about you... you want to know what I figured out?..."
You felt your breathing hitch in your lungs in somber understanding. You read this all too often, you knew this scenario all too well. You know exactly what Anti figured out.
You found no pressure in immediately bolting forward, running as fast as your nimble legs could push them ever before. You refused to look back at what you already knew was awaiting behind your tiny form. Anti bitterly snickered at your efforts, as he knew himself you'd finally put the pieces together as to what was happening here. The burden of stress on you was making you exhausted as the adrenaline upkept your energy to continue your desperate- yet insignificant sprint.
"Come on, you know you don't want to spend all that energy on meaninglessly running away. You know you're going to need it for something far more important." Anti, after giving you a few moments to run on your own, began to slowly step ahead from behind. Even at his stalking pace, he was easily making more progress than you ever had even when you first began to dash foremost.
You refused to let his vile words talk you down, even if he had a point, continuing to race further ahead into the abyss. This was a living nightmare for you.
As you showed no intentions in ceasing your ongoing sprint, Anti twirled his eyes amusingly. You were going to burn yourself out eventually, and he was willing to wait for you to ultimately fall to your knees. It would only make things easier on his part, and it would drag out your satisfying panic longer.
Your heart was practically pounding right outside of your chest, beating so hard you could feel your pulse in your head and arms. Your hyperventilation was loud and quick, nearly taking more breaths per minute than there were heartbeats. You were overworking yourself beyond safe limits. It just wasn't worth it, but you simply didn't want to give up.
It wouldn't be too long before your legs grew painfully hot and shaken. As you continued to push forward, your pace began to slow drastically, tripping over your own legs as you began to sway from your tiresome attempts. Sweat was practically streaming down your face once you finally collapsed onto your stomach. Your hands convulsed and twitched, trying to pull yourself further in an attempt to at least crawl.
Anti, who continued to stay not much further behind you throughout your run, stopped his foot mere meters away from your limp form. It was no less than the size of a garage compared to you. He knelt down, his head trickling to the side as he watched you, unable to move any further than what your body could physically handle. A rotten smile twisted across his face, reaching down for you with his massive hand.
"No... n-no!" You began to claw at the floorless void as his large digits wrapped about your waist, gradually lifting you into the air- far higher than for comfort. The sudden shift in height made you feel like your stomach was up to your chest.
Anti raised himself up to his feet once again, never washing away that putrid expression of a grin. He rolled your form over purposely to have you face him. The moment you locked eyes with him, your face went completely pale.
"Are your beloved little reveries as pleasurable as you remember them being written, (Y/N)?" He taunted, clenching his hold on you to measures that rapidly felt unendurable. It was the same feeling for when he had you locked around your neck, except this felt like it was practically everywhere across your body. The blood suddenly rushing up to your head made you feel lethargic and groggy, unable to speak. Your quiverish gasps for air were all that could speak for you.
"I see, let me help you out there," Anti answered for himself, stiffening his fist even tighter onto your form. You felt like your bones were being crushed as they were forcefully compressed against one another. As you simultaneously felt and heard crackles from your appendages and abdomen, your voice was finally overcome by shrieks and wails of agony. Blood forced to your head made its way up to your esophagus and rush into your mouth and nostrils. Internal punctures traced your every limb as if your entire nervous system had turned into a vine of prickly thorns.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure you're alive and conscious for everything I have planned for you... we're just getting started." Anti assured sickeningly towards you as his head leaned closer into your squirming figure, curiously inspecting the traces of blood he'd formed about your face. He could practically dance to your screams, pressuring you further like a stress toy reaching its limit to where its foam began to tear... by this point, you should be dead. But you're not- Anti promised you that. It was a promise you wish he'd never made.
