Jin and Krystal both stood with their nerves on end as they watched the lady walk up the steps of the subway station. Neither felt like it was safe to breathe. The moment of truth was so close as she stopped and unzipped the side of her bag. Time slowed as they watched the handle emerge from inside.
Jin felt like the world had crashed around him as soon as the green color hit his eyes. Krystal's eyes teared up. Her last chance had disappeared like that.
The sound of the umbrella being opened caused both of them to take another look. Smiles spread across both of their faces as the girl put the umbrella cover in her back pack. She raised the bright red umbrella high before taking off in the rain. Jin couldn't stop his heart from racing. He wondered if this was a sign. Either way, he wouldn't argue with it anymore.
Krystal looked at Jin and was surprised to see he was happy. Her smile grew bigger as she turned to enter the subway. Thanks to fate, she had won the date she had wanted so long. Jin tried his hardest to wipe the smile from his face, but not even the cold rain could bring his mood down now.
Lonna's POV
Lonna paced back and forth on her balcony, deep in thought as she half listened to what Momo was telling her.
"They have known each other for ages." Momo watched as Lonna stopped her pacing and stared off in space. "She accepted the job because she likes Suga, and Suga couldn't refuse."
Lonna looked at Momo after she went quiet, but it was like she was staring straight through her. "Jisoo and Suga have known each other for ages. She accepted the job because she likes Suga, and Suga couldn't refuse." Her voice came out sounding like a robot.
"I have already said that, you don't have to repeat it." Momo said.
"But I don't know what to say." Lonna already sound defeated.
"How can you not?" Momo refused to let her friend give up so easily. "Lonna, Krystal and I both agree, this is the biggest crisis of your love life. This is a tense situation."
Lonna looked up at the sky and thought about what her friend had said. "If you look at the earthquake scale, this definitely over a 7, similar to 16 nuclear warheads. If this was a rainfall, it would be a mudslide inducing one!" Lonna was now screaming from the freakout she was having.
Momo grabbed her friend's face in her hand and forced her to look at her as she gripped hard. "Don't change the subject."
"Okay."
"Jisoo, the aggressive rival, what are you going to do?" Lonna's face scrunched up in sadness.
"I don't know." Her voice came out whinny.
Momo sighed as she released her friend's face. "Good thing me and Krystal have a plan. Meet us at the basketball club, don't forget." Lonna could feel a tiny bit of hope rise in her at Momo's words. She knew her friends would let her down. She shook her head slightly in agreement.
The Next Day
It took no effort at all on Suga's part for him to jump up and successfully make the lay up. The girlish crowd screamed at him. "Suga is so good!" They continued to scream.
"Suga!"
"I love you!"
"Suga, look over here!"
Suga tried his best to ignore them and focus on his practice, but he couldn't help but get frustrated. He bit the inside of his cheek, to try and keep himself from yelling at them.
Jisoo could tell the annoying girls were disturbing Suga. She glanced up at them and couldn't help but feel her own jealousy start to boil. "This is crazy." Momo said as she covered her ears from the noise.
"I wouldn't have believed it, if I hadn't seen it for myself." Krystal answered back. Lonna tried not to let her friends see the sad look on her face. She didn't know why, but having all those girls fawning over Suga made her feel even more depressed.
Jisoo walked from her place on the sideline to the middle of the court. "Hey, you girls are making too much noise." Jin had to stop mid run to avoid running into her. "Don't you know you are disrupting Prince's practice? Stop making idiotic noises!" She was fed up.
"What kind of manager are you?" One of the girls dared to speak back.
"Calling us idiots, who do you think you are?" Another asked. Lonna and her friends couldn't help but giggle at the exchange.
"With fans like you, you will just disgrace Prince's reputation." Jisoo shot back. Anger present in her tone.
"Captain, can you stop the manager? She's at it again." A member of the team asked Jin.
Jhope skipped as he walked behind them. "It's hopeless, just look at poor RM." He said.
RM stood helplessly in front of an angry Jisoo. His hands were placed in front of him in a prayer position. "Jisoo you'll get in trouble again. You won't even know who will beat you up." Jisoo looked at the floor with as if RM's words were beneath her.
"I don't care!" She screamed.
RM sighed out of frustration. "Jisoo..."
"If you have time to nag, you have time to practice." Jisoo cut him off before he could say anything else. He had made her even more angry. "You suck at basketball."
RM's hurt expression wasn't hiding as he looked down. "If you have a game, you will do nothing but bring down the team." She continued to scold him.
RM couldn't fight her. "You're right."
"Jisoo, be quiet." The moment Suga called out to her, Jisoo had completely forgotten about RM and turned to smile in his direction. RM could feel his heart pull in pain as he watched.
"What is their relationship? Why did he call her by her first name?" One of the girls in the balcony called out. "It pisses me off."
Suga looked up at the fan girl's direction. He had had enough. "Enough from you guys!" The girls spat out insults as they left.
Lonna looked down at Suga as she frowned. 'He is protecting Jisoo.'
Krystal could see the sadness written on Lonna's face. She had hoped to wait for a better time, but she couldn't. "Jin!" She held out making both Jin and Suga finally take notice of the three girls. Lonna gave a small smile as Suga's eyes found her. "Can we talk?" Krystal asked.
Jin didn't know why they needed to talk to him, but he agreed anyway. Suga's eyes followed him intensely as Jin left the gym.
