As Jin’s plush lips were just a ghost of a movement away from one Lonna’s…
*RING RING*, the bell rang, making Jin jump away from Lonna in surprise. Lonna quickly realized the kiss wasn’t going to happen as she opened her eyes and saw Jin had pulled away from her. The awkward atmosphere rose around them once more.
“I have to get to class.” Jin said before straightening the strap of his bookbag on his shoulder and running toward the exit. He stopped in his actions and gripped the tear damp handkerchief in his hand as he turned and ran back towards Lonna.
He opened her hand as he placed the blue striped rag in her palm, before once again taking off back the way he had come. He ran across the campus towards his class smiling like an idiot.
Lonna rubbed the drying cloth between her fingers as she admired it. ‘I am becoming more confident, from now on, I’ll do anything to get rid of that devil. I won’t let him mess with my life.’ She thought to herself before showing her own childish joy by jumping up and down. She danced with the handkerchief flying in the air around her.
Pamella giggled with happiness as she placed her tray of food on the table. Lonna placed her hands under her chin as she leaned on the tabletop. “Mom, you’re so confusing. Last time, your boss told me you were sad and distracted, now you act like you don’t have a worry in the world.” Pamella smiled sweetly at her daughter. “You should really refrain from being so bipolar.” Lonna scolded her.
“I can’t help it. It’s like the black and white from yesterday has turned into brilliant color.” Her mother said as she again acted like a teen in love.
“I get it.” Lonna said as she agreed with her mother. “It feels like eating a sweet donut or flying through the clouds. It’s like someone is holding my lips up with a string, for me to never frown again.” Lonna’s voice grew in happiness as she talked.
“You’re right, I honestly didn’t think it would happen so soon.” Her mother said back as both girls stared off dreamily in front of them.
“Me either!” Lonna said.
“Please give me your blessing…” both women said at the same time.
“I’m getting married…” Pamella shouted at the same time as her daughter shouted, “I’m dating.” Both women asked the same question upon hearing each other’s confessions.
“What do you mean?”
Pamella sat in the dining room again, with a look of shock on her face at her screaming daughter. “You’re getting married? Mom, that is a big decision. Plus, you two haven’t even been dating that long.” Lonna finished her lecture as she leaned up straight and crossed her arms over her chest.
Pamella completely ignored what her daughter had just said. “I thought you were too young to date.” Lonna looked at her mother with disbelief on her face. Did she think she was twelve or something “Truthfully, I was dating at your age…” Her mother started to daydream.
“Back to the marriage subject!” Lonna screamed slamming her hand on the dining table, bringing her mother back to reality.
“I don’t know what to say Lonna, he just said the mood was right, and he asked me to marry him.” Lonna knew her mother was beyond crazy now.
“Well, just because he proposed shouldn’t make you act all crazy and agree. I mean I haven’t even met the guy yet.” Lonna said as she circled behind her mother like a cop investigating a criminal. “You should at least give me time to get use to him.”
Pamella jumped to her feet happily. “Actually, he has wanted to meet you. He wanted to come today, but work kept him from it. He said he would meet you at school in a few days.” Lonna’s mother said in a matter of fact way.
“Why would he come to my school to meet me? Is he a weirdo?” Lonna said scoffing at her mother. Her mother gasped and put her hands to her mouth.
“I forgot to tell you.” Lonna rolled her eyes at her mother’s forgetfulness. “He is the president of your school.” She added. Lonna ignored her mother’s ramblings.
“Well if he isn’t coming today, then why did you make so much food?” Lonna asked making her mother’s face fall in confusion.
“Hey, I haven’t even asked you who you are dating. What about that, huh?” Her mother shot back. Lonna’s mother leaned closer and closer to her as she kept humming ‘hmmm’. Lonna closed her eyes wishing she was anywhere but there at the moment. Just as she was about to scream something out at her.
*DING DING* The doorbell saved her from her mother.
Her mother confused her as she jumped up and down excitedly and screamed. “He’s here!” Before running off to answer the door. As she left the room, Lonna slowly remembered what her mother had said earlier.
“School president? Something doesn’t feel right…” She said to herself as she scratched her head in thought.
Then the words drifted back to her memory as it finally clicked. ‘He is the only son of our college president. His dad supports him in his ideas, good or bad. He leads a group of guys, who think his freakish behavior is normal.’ As the memory of Krystal’s word ended in her head, Lonna’s face morphed to one of dismay.
She took off as fast as she could to catch her mother. “Mom!” she screamed trying to stop her. Turning the corner, she could see her mother turning the doorknob and it was like her world slowed down. She felt like her feet were stuck in sand as she reached out. “NO, MOM!!!”
Pamella stood on the other side of the door as Lonna slid in front of it. Directly in front of her was none other than the devil boy.
His pale blonde hair covered his face as he looked down. He had his long thin hands gripping the sides of the door frame as he waited for the door to open. Lonna looked in miserable disbelief as Suga’s eyes slowly moved to meet hers.
That devilish smile crept across his face. “Lonna, this is the son of the man I am going to marry, his name is Min Yoon Gi.” Her mother said from behind her. “Once we are married, you will be stepsiblings, so you should try to get along.”
Suga let out an amused chuckle at Lonna’s face in front of him as his smile widened. “Nice to meet you, Noona.” Lonna couldn’t control her emotions anymore, as she felt the world crash around her. She let out an ear shattering scream.
‘Please let this be a dream!’ She screamed in her head, begging the universe to stop being so cruel as to keep putting this devil boy in her path.
Suga’s POV
He leaned in the doorway, with a look of amusement on his face, as he heard the girl screaming. He loved this reaction.
It satisfied him to no end. Lonna thought she could just get away, but as he had told her before, if her wanted something then it would be his. He laughed evilly in his head. ‘Have you accepted it yet, Lonna?’ He thought as the girl in front of him seemed as if she was losing all hope.
