Suga stood alone in the empty gallery, looking at the lonely project that sat proudly in the middle of the room. "Suga, why are you here?" RM was curious as the four boys walked up to him.
"I don't care if you believe me or not, this is the first time I've done this." The four boys couldn't believe what they were seeing. Before they could object, Suga destroyed his own project.
"Suga!" RM screamed.
"Are you crazy?" Jhope yelled. "Yours is the only one left to enter the competition! And you destroyed it!"
"Didn't we say we would rely on our own talent to win?" Suga turned to look at them. "Even if the process is a fraud."
The four boys stared at Suga, confused. "What do you mean?" Jhope questioned. Suga started walking out of the gallery and the other four followed him.
"It's obvious. This whole Christmas tree competition was professor Cho's hoax from the start." Suga explained as they walked down the hallway. Suga led the group of boys as they followed closely behind him. "Targeting me. He was my dad's assistant, we never got along."
Taehyung huffed in anger. "Then aren't we idiots."
"He tried to frame you and cause a rift between us. Isn't he a prick." Jhope added.
"Our whole class did the project as if it were the real thing." RM was beyond angry at the realization of being tricked.
"Screw the Christmas tree competition. Asshole!" Taehyung let his rage get the better of him.
"Even now, I want this to be a fair competition." Suga ended the talk as they walked out of the school, heading for the warehouse.
At the warehouse, Suga had gathered all the items they would need before hand. The other four boys sat around grumbling while Suga tried to bring each project back to how it was. "Suga, why do this? What's the point?" Jhope massaged his throbbing temples.
"I just want to do my part to let the projects be displayed." Suga answered simply. "Since we have the skill, of course we can do it again."
"Boring." Taehyung had had enough as he quickly grabbed his bag and left. Jhope and Jimin quickly followed his lead. RM stood for a minute, watching Suga desperately trying to put the design back together.
"Based on what you said, we're not interested." Suga stopped for a second before returning to working. "If our designs were only intended to hurt you, then I don't see the need."
"Whatever. But admitting defeat isn't my style." RM slowly shook his head in understanding before grabbing his stuff to leave as well. He stopped for a moment, but quickly left after all. Suga understood their feelings, but he refused to quit.
Awhile later, Suga checked the design blueprint again to check and see if he had placed things in the right place. He couldn't seem to get it right. He wasted time studying the paper, trying to put it to memory.
RM walked back in on him struggling over a display. He threw himself in a nearby chair and sighed. "If you're doing Taehyung's then I won't have to." He closed his eyes as he laid on the couch.
"RM, what is with your design?" Suga sounded frustrated. "Why's it so complicated?" RM laughed at him. "Why are you laughing?" Suga asked angrily.
RM continued to laugh as he leisurely walked up to Suga. "You really think you're that good? That you can do everyone's?" Suga started frustratedly pulling on parts of the display as he ignored RM's questions. "Forget it, I'll do it."
"Then do it and cut the shit." Suga cursed as he thrust the display into RM's open hand. RM took it and sat behind him to fix it.
As soon as RM sat down, the other three boys came walking in. RM chuckled at them before going back to work. Jhope rolled his eyes as he watched Suga struggle with his display. He reached over the chair he was slouched in to snatch it from him. Suga huffed at his cheeky smile.
Suga then moved down to the floor grabbing a piece that he would need to start on Taehyung's project. Before he could even touch it, Taehyung stopped him by covering up his display with his hands. He pointed is finger in Suga's direction and shook it in a "no,no" gesture, before giving him a cocky smile and taking his display back over to the couch.
Suga moved to pick up Jimin's display and with a smile on his face, he tossed over to the couch where Jimin sat. Jimin caught it without any problem, as he smiled back. The four sat silently as they worked hard to get their displays back to the way they were.
It was late into the night and the boys were still working on their displays when Suga walked back in with food. "Okay. Good work everyone. Come eat." The four boys forgot the work and ran straight to him. "Come and eat. There's ramen." Suga announced as he sat the food on the table. "I have Jimin's favorite cookie. What else? If there is anything else just let me know."
Close to dawn, the boys stood around the table as they looked at their fixed displays. "Ours are finished, but yours isn't done." RM said to Suga.
"What can we do? Is there enough time?" Jhope felt sorry for him. "They are inspecting this morning, if yours isn't done, you're out."
Suga's eyes slowly landed on the piece of paper sitting out on the desk. So what if it isn't as good as you guys? So what if it's not creative? I think a Christmas tree should represent happiness. Suga walked over and held up the piece of paper.
"I think there's still time." He smirked as he thought about Lonna.
Krystal's POV
Krystal laughed at the joke Jin told as they walked together through the subway. The date would end soon and she was happy it was better than the last outing they had. She turned her head toward the ticket checks to enter the train area.
"What is it?" Jin asked as Krystal stopped walking.
"Isn't that the nearby high school uniform?" Krystal asked.
"Yeah. Why?" Jin was perplexed by her question as he watched the boy enter the subway area.
Krystal grabbed her phone out and her fingers were like lighting over the keypad. "Lonna, I know what school that guy goes to." She said as Lonna picked up.
Suga's POV
Suga rubbed the sleep out of his eyes as he walked lazily into the gym. Jin was on the floor picking up the basketballs they would be using, checking the air. "Captain, I can't stay for practice. I need some sleep." Suga said as he walked up to him.
"I've had enough. RM and the others aren't here either." Jin gave him a stern look. "Next week we play our rivals. If we don't practice, we're sure to lose."
Suga put his hand on Jin's shoulder. "I guarantee, with such a capable captain, that won't happen."
"Drop it. Flattery won't work on me." Jin had gotten smart to Suga's ways, since the basketball game they had against each other.
"Lonna's gone too." Jisoo said as she walked up behind them. " Even the manager is slacking off."
Jin rolled his eyes. "Jisoo, don't make a fuss. She's just making a quick trip to the nearby high school. She'll be back soon."
"The nearby high school?" Jisoo asked wondering what Lonna would be doing at her old high school.
"What's she doing there?" Suga asked curious of the same thing.
"She's looking into the guy who's hounding her." Jin told the truth.
"Oh... cheating." Jisoo joked. "So bold."
"Don't make things worse." Jin lectured her. "She went because she's suspicious of the guy. She wants to get things straightened out."
"Who?" Suga had mixed emotions.
"Krystal and I saw him earlier. Seemed to be from the nearby high school. He's called..." Suga waited anxiously for the name as Jin stood trying to recall it. "He's called... Jeon Jungkook." Suga and Jisoo's mouths dropped open at the name. "Goes by Kooky."
"Kooky?" Jisoo looked over at Suga who's face paled as he stood frozen to his spot. "Isn't that your little brother?"
"Little brother? You have a little brother?" Jin asked intrigued by this new information.
