Love Letters and Confession

Lonna had her head on Suga’s shoulder as they both slept in the back of the van. Mr. Min looked in the mirror and laughed at how comfortable they looked. “They must be worn out.” Pamela laughed as she looked back at them.

“I never expected the one to have the most fun would be Yoongi.”

“Oh…yea. Tonight, come to our house for dinner.” Mr. Min offered. Pamela was shocked.

“Won’t that be inconvenient?” She asked.

“Of course it’s convenient.” Mr. Min smiled sweetly at her. “Because, one day, it will be your home too.” Pamela smiled at his words. “Pamela.” Mr. Min’s voice suddenly sounded serious. “I’ve had a failed marriage and I’m a bad father. And when I’m working, I forget everything else. Knowing this…will you have me?”

“Let’s work hard. Let the four of us together create the perfect family.” Pamela grabbed his hand in reassurance. Suga who had only faked sleep while they talked, opened his eyes and look over at the girl who was sleeping on his shoulder. He couldn’t help but frown, but he nuzzled his cheek against the top of her head and tried to fall back to sleep.

That night for the first time in years, the Min house was lively and loud. Mr. Min cooked, while Pamela plated, Lonna would hand Suga the food, and he would set the table. All of them laughed and had fun.

Author’s POV

Under the light that started their life. Every minute, their happiness grows under the florescent light. But they didn’t realize, where there is light, there are also shadows.

Unknown to the happy family who were laughing and joking as they ate, a figure was watching their happy moment from outside. They watched with a wicked smile on their face.

Next Day

Lonna grabbed the handle on her locker and pulled it open, her face fell as the multiple letters floated to the floor. “Not again.” Krystal said angrily.

“Lonna has to play messenger again?” Momo asked.

“I can’t stand it anymore.” Krystal slammed her locker and leaned against it. “The girls write love letters to Suga, but won’t deliver them. Ever since E-news revealed that Lonna will be his sister, they practically force her to play messenger.”

“That sucks.” Momo exclaimed. Lonna sighed in frustration.

Lonna held the huge pile of letters against her chest as she walked quickly down the freshman hall. J-hope jumped as the pile hit the wooden desk. Everyone in the class turned to stare at her. Suga kept his eyes on the letters that were in front of him. As soon as they saw his fist tighten, the class quickly left.

Once everyone was gone, except for Suga and his gang, Lonna spoke. “These letters are for you.”

“I’ll tell you again…” Suga sighed in frustration. “Trash them.”

Lonna was fed up with his attitude. “I’ll do no such thing!”

“Why not?” Suga asked finally looking at her. “If they have something to say, they should say it themselves.”

“Hey, did you ever consider, that when they were writing these letters, they couldn’t even sleep? And you’re not even going to look at them? You’re mean!” Suga smiled devilishly.

“You’re right.” Suga held one of the letters up in front of him. “Maybe someone slipped one of hers in here.” He put the tip of a corner of the letter up against his bottom lip. “Like…the idiot who hand delivered hers, and still got the wrong person.”
