The awkwardness was obvious between the two brothers as Suga walked Jungkook to the car. "Uncle is probably still doing the paperwork." Jungkook told Suga as they got to the passenger side.
"Then take care." Suga turned and started walking away.
Jungkook felt like this would be the last time he saw him, if he didn't say something. The fear of the thought made him hurt. "Hyung!" He screamed out to him. Suga instantly turned. "I'm sorry." Jungkook bowed as low as he could.
"For what?" Suga asked.
"For the recent events. I know I was really childish and created a lot of trouble for you. But..." Jungkook fought against the tears that burned his eyes. "I really want you to look at me again."
Suga kept his eyes locked on Jungkook as he moved to him. "It's still there. Your scar." Jungkook reached up and lightly touched the scar on his cheek. "Truth is...I don't hate you, I just don't know how to face you. I blame myself for what I did to you."
Suga's words made the tears in Jungkook's eyes fall. "I'm really glad." Jungkook reached forward and wrapped his arms around his brother. Suga didn't push him away as he cried on his shoulder. "I'm really glad you're my hyung!"
"Well, this feels nostalgic." Suga said happily as Jungkook continued to hug him. "The annoying, snotty kid who loved to follow me around." Jungkook and Suga both laughed. Suga patted his shoulder in comfort as Jungkook let go of him.
"Yoongi!" Their moment was interrupted as Mr. Cho ran towards them. Suga noticed the panic on his face. "Lonna fainted." Suga felt his heart drop to his feet as he raced back to the hospital's entrance.
Later
Lonna stretched as she started to wake up. Her eyes peeped open just a slight bit. She didn't know how, but somehow she had made it back to her house. She snuggled deeper into her bed covers as she looked towards her bedside table. Instead of seeing the alarm clock she was looking for, her eyes landed on a very serious looking Suga, who was sitting next to her bed.
With the memory of what happened the last time she woke up next to one of the Mins with no memory of falling asleep, she quickly shot up in a sitting position. She lifted her blankets and frantically examined her state. "You. Me. What?" Her words were a jumble of nerves as she hugged her blanket tightly.
"What are you thinking?" Suga asked sounding slightly annoyed. Lonna looked at him with an apologetic look, before looking away in shame. "How old are you? Fainting from exhaustion. Old lady!" Suga teased her.
"Recently, I've been so sick with worry, I couldn't sleep." Suga felt horrible for being the cause of her worry. "I'd think about Jungkook and your smashed Christmas trees, and..." Lonna noticed Suga's depression and decided to change subject. "Did you carry me home?" She smiled at the image that came to mind.
"How could I carry you all the way from the hospital?" Suga quickly asked making the image and Lonna's smile fade.
"Oh." Lonna said sadly.
Suga chuckled at the look of disappointment on her face. "I carried you from the door to the bed. Cuimin drove us home."
Lonna's smile returned. Did he carry me princess style? Lonna bit her lip at the thought.
"You're look thin, but you're pretty heavy to carry." Suga teased.
"Hey!" Lonna yelled taking offense. Suga quickly shoved back down on the bed. He gave her a hooded look, that made Lonna tingle in an excited, yet nervous way. She couldn't explain it. Suga's face slowly moved closer to her, until his lips barely brushed against hers. Lonna's eyes started to flutter shut.
"Get some rest." A large gummy smile spread Suga's lips as his trick played out successfully. The look of disappointment took over Lonna's features again. Suga chuckled before placing a soft kiss on her forehead. Lonna giggled happily as he left the room.
After a while Suga didn't come back. Worried he had left Lonna left her room to check. A wonderful smell and the sounds coming from the kitchen, made her curious. When she entered, Suga was standing by the stove stirring a pot with a very serious look on his face. She adored the sight. "Suga."
"Didn't I tell you to rest?" His voice was scolding, but full of worry. Lonna felt guilty.
"I'm sorry I caused trouble for you." Lonna apologized.
"You worry to much. That's why you fainted." Suga focused on stirring the contents of the pot as he talked.
"I don't worry to much. It's because of you." Lonna's voice was almost a whisper as she argued back.
Regardless of her volume, Suga still managed to hear her. "What about me? Please, worry about yourself first. Can't take care of yourself, so don't worry so much about others."
"I want to worry. So what?" Lonna said stubbornly.
"I don't want you to!" Suga slightly yelled as he looked at her. Seeing the hurt on her face, Suga softened his tone. "Pushing yourself so hard you fainted, can only happen to you."
A cheeky smile spread across Lonna's lips. "Are you worried about me?" She asked teasingly. Suga didn't answer her, he just turned his head back to the pot and started stirring again. Lonna stood up on her tippy toes, trying to look inside. "Are you cooking for me?"
"Do you think I am doing it for fun?" Suga avoided answering the question directly.
"Is this your first time cooking?" Lonna couldn't wipe away the smile. Suga not answering her was enough for Lonna to know the answer. "I'm so happy. You're doing something for me, you have never done before." Suga smiled as he stirred. "Let's make this "Suga cooking commemoration day!" Although I haven't tasted it yet, like uncle said, the cook's thoughts would be your thoughts, right?"
Suga left the pot, opening the fridge door and bending down beside it. "Because... you're the most important person to me." His gummy smile spread across his lips as he said the words Lonna had said the night of the family dinner.
I hate myself... Lonna smiled as the words she said floated through her memory. I know I have a heart that likes you. Suga rushed to hold her as he wrapped her tight in the opening of his jacket. "But there's nothing I can do for you."
"It's more than enough!" Suga said.
"I'm not qualified to be the most important person to you." Lonna said through tears.
"Did I say... you're the most important person to me?" Suga asked as a small smirk tugged his lips. He pull Lonna away from him and looked at her. "Did I?"
Lonna giggled at the fact he had remembered that. It only got louder as she thought about how now, he couldn't say he never said it.
Taking Lonna by surprise, Suga stalked up to her and swept her up in his arms. "The soup isn't done yet. Go back to bed."
"This is the princess style." Lonna was giddy. Suga rolled his eyes in annoyance as he walked her back to her bedroom. "And later I will be having soup of love. I'm too lucky!" Lonna said as she lifted her hands up in the air and shook them happily.
"You're too noisy." Suga said.
"I'm not." Lonna argued back.
"Little kid." Suga teased.
"Absurd." Lonna yelled. They continued to argue back and forth as the soup sat boiling on the stove.
"Why are you so heavy?"
"I'm not fat!"
"You need to go on a diet. Move!"
Lonna giggled as Suga tickled and poked her over and over. The soup was soon forgotten for the time being.
