Hello, it's the author! Yes I am well aware about what happened to the ship. Lapis leaving Peridot behind literally made me feel like Peridot on that particular scene where she was seen on the bathroom lying upside down as sad country music played.
This story was made for the ship specifically and ship ONLY. I don't want to watch my favorite couple just vanish like that. That's why I made this story to fill the void in my heart.
Let me say it again: this story has nothing to do with the series, only the characters were borrowed, but the scenes and such are the author's own thoughts.
