Camp was through the pastures of a pick-your-own strawberry field.  “Why are there strawberries at camp?”

“Because we sell them to get money so the camp can continue to run,” he stated.

“Oh,” I said in interest.  I had all of the strawberry bushes that we walked by grow a little bigger and a little better.  What?  I couldn’t just have them grow until they were huge, it would be too hard to control them.  “I never told you my name, I’m Floret.”

“Why?  I mean, Dan told some people that your name was Lorry.”

“Lorry is the daughter of Gaea; Floret is the daughter of Demeter.  It is that kind of thing,” I sighed.

“You remind me of someone…”

“Who?”

“Sky, she said names were power so she changed her name,” he answered.

“Really?  I thought that she changed her name just because people kept on asking her if she had a black parent because she had a black name.”

“You know Sky?”

“Yeah, I went to school with her and saw her about three or four days ago,” I answered.

“How is she doing?”

“She was at her burnt down house, getting over her fear or something like that.  She seemed to be getting over something,” I shrugged.

“I thought that she was trying to find Cali,” he muttered.

“Cali?  I saw her too.  She was being saved by Octavian.  I healed her from a poisoned wound that she got from a guy named James.”

Cade looked at me with wide eyes.  “Wow, you just ran into everybody.”

“Yeah, but it wasn’t that fun meeting Octavian for the first time,” I pictured his murderous face, and found it more funny then scary.

“He isn’t the most fun person to meet.  Definitely when he is on his killing spree-“Cade paused.  “He tried to kill you, didn’t he.”

“Yeah, he was just a little murderous that day.”
