I remembered when I had made that tree into a house.  It was an Oak tree, and that is what the prison was.  So the only way that it could be alive, and be a prison and Oak tree at the same time is only if he was keeping her in my house.  Funny, I only made it two days ago and it is already in use as a kidnapping center, how nice?  I started to walk to the hideout, thinking of a plan on the way.

When I finally got to the hideout, Apricot came running out and ran into me.

I smiled at her; she was pretty before, but now she was the perfect version of before with a perfected tan and perfected hair.  “I knew you could handle him!” I exclaimed.

“Thanks!” Apricot answered, beaming at me.

“WHAT THE ZUES?  APRICOT! COME BACK HERE!!!” James yelled from inside the tree.  He then ran out of the tree and started coming towards us.

“You didn’t kill him yet?” I asked, not understanding her logic.

“I said I wanted to torture him!” she explained.  “I need to work on my charmspeak,” she muttered.

“I need to work on mine to,” I joked.  We started running away from the furious James, easily gaining distance because he was slowed down by all of those roots.

“Oh my gods!  I need to work out,” Apricot commented, already out of breath.

I stopped running, seeing that we were basically free from James unless he decides to use some trick on us.  “Okay, he is in the dust now.  Sorry that I didn’t save you when I saw you before it all happened,” I apologized, getting just one of the many things off my chest.

“Nah, it’s okay.  Hold on let… me… get… my… breath…” she panted.  She was right, she needed to work out more often.

“It’s okay, it isn’t what Ap- nothing” I quickly paused, just before I could tell her who her mom was.

“What were you about to say?” Apricot questioned.

“Sorry, I can’t say,” I told her, I hated having to keep things from her.

“Why not?” she pouted.

“Because I was told not to,” I tried to explain.  It was hurting me on the inside, keeping her family history away from her when it could help her so much.

“Okay?  At least tell me who told you,” she commanded.

“It is kinda a universal law.  If we go around telling kids who their parents are, they won’t claim their children anymore,” I tried to explain.

“Oh,” she answered, unsure of how to respond.

“How did you get away from James?  Why do you look even healthier then you did before you were kidnapped?” I observed.

“Um, it’s nothing.  Ugh, I can’t keep this from you!” she broke.  “I was claimed but my mom doesn’t’ want anyone but you to know,” she whispered in my ear.

I didn’t understand why she would whisper it, we were in the middle of the empty woods.  It isn’t like anyone could be here.

“That is great!  Now I can be less careful of what I say!” I sighed.  I probably slipped up on her mom about three times?  I was sure that I would probably slip up even more.  “I find it funny how I notice your change and what you had to do to escape, yet you haven’t noticed that I just happened to know where you were kept,” I shrugged.  I was expecting her to ask about that, and I didn’t what her to think that I knew about it.

“Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you that.  I thought you might have been wandering around and heard me scream or something,” she looked at me.  I lifted my eyebrows at her.  Yes, I would be in the forest at the time when I could eat, please note the sarcasm.  “Guess neither of those are correct.”

“Yeah, because I wander around during lunch time,” I rolled my eyes.  She sounded like a mortal with the mist, coming up with any explanation to hide the truth.  “Right after Dan left…”

Get away from me!  His words echoed throughout my mind.

“Oh, I understand,” she answered.  She really didn’t, she would figure out some explanation on my knowledge that makes me seem evil.  I know that it probably would happen because even I question if I am evil or not.

“No you don’t.  I don’t want you to wake up in the middle of the night and realize that I knew exactly where you were,” I sighed.  “I made the house as a hide out for me for a day, I didn’t think that it would become a prison,” I admitted.

“Oh, I didn’t know that.  It looked like a tree, but I didn’t know that you made it.  If it looks like crap, blame James!  It’s all his fault!” she blamed.

"Everything that ever when wrong was James’ fault,” I corrected her, laughing.

“True,” she agreed.

I stared forward, thinking about my past life.  What if I could always talk, no matter if I wrote a stupid poem or not?  Would I have turned out differently?  Would I be here sooner or later?  Would I ever even make it here?  Would I have ever met Alex?  Why am I thinking about him, of all people?  He is just there for me and really nice… wait, what?  Omg, I like him!!!

“So…I have to ask,” Apricot started.  Oh no, those words are never good.  “Is there someone you are thinking about?  Maybe a boy?”

“That possibility is obvious, isn’t it?” I asked, it was like she could read my mind!

“Yeah, I guess it goes with being the daughter of you know who,” she whispered.  I still didn’t understand why she felt the need to whisper.  “I can look into eyes and there is a sparkle that is showing affection for this boy.  Who is it?”  Yesterday, I would laugh to hear her say that.  She seemed like she would not be the kind of person that was into this type of gossip.  Maybe she is turning into her mom, holly Hera; I hope that doesn’t happen to me.

“It’s just a boy,” I rolled my eyes, hiding my nervousness on how much she actually knows.

“It’s not just some boy, if you like him.  I may be THE boy,” she teased.

“I get that, but we don’t know yet,” I shrugged.  She started to sound really nice, like she understands and can help if I just tell her.

“Oh really?  What is his name?  I must know!  Like now!” she rushed me.    I felt really uncomfortable; I am not used to people trying to get information out of me.

A voice came into my head, telling me that she could fix it all if I told her one simple name.  “Alex,” I muttered, wanting to giggle.

“Ohhh, I love the name!” she cheered.  From behind us, I could hear some hedges rustle.  “What was that?”

I was sure that I knew who it was.  Conner had been a jerk to me the whole time, taking my book and showing it to the Apollo kids. He made me seem desperate and now I see that he is back to try to get some dirt on me.  Good thing that I don’t have to worry about him knowing my parent, because I never mentioned her.

“Conner, if that’s you I will do more than slam a book in your face,” I threatened.

“Wait, who’s this Conner?  Is there something going on between you two?” she asked.  I rolled my eyes at her confusion.

“Yeah, hatred,” I spat.

“Okay, good.  Come on!  Let’s go see who or what is making this noise,” she said, eager for answers.

“Or what…” I repeated.  We snuck up to the bush to see what was on the other side.
