My eyes flickered open from the whispering of children and looked up to find some Athena children by the door of the white room, some staring at the ground, some staring at me. I glanced at the ground to see that there was a huge hole in the ground; the wooden flooring was ruined from the damage. It occurred to me that it was created by me when I had dirt traveled.
Maybe they won't think that I had done it, I thought to myself. They wouldn't figure it out, their mom is only the goddess of wisdom...
My legs swung over the side of the infirmary bed and I slid off. The heads of brown and blonde hair all turned to me while I looked down at myself. Yeah, my clothes were filthy. At least someone was nice enough to clean my face and hair. The mirror that hung on the wall shown me that my hair was in a neat and clean bun and my face was clear of all dirt.
Two girls rushed into the room, one with blonde hair and the other had brown. They each held a mini vacuum and seemed confused to see that I was awake.
"Hi," one of them greeted. "I'm Chloe-"
"And I'm Nicole!" the darker haired one piped up.
I was about to introduce myself, but my voice wasn't working. No sound came out. A shy and slightly embarrassed smile crossed my face as I tapped my neck. The girls stood there, each confused by my reaction. Grins plastered themselves on their faces, neither of them knew how to react.
"She's a mute," one of the Athena children coughed to make it less awkward.
"Oh," Nicole nodded. "Tell us what happened, how did you become a mute?"
Chloe elbowed her lightly in the ribs. "She can't speak, bright one." I silently laughed thinking to myself, who is brighter; Athena or Apollo?
"We were going to vacuum you, but sense you are awake, would you like to do it?" Chloe asked.
I nodded slowly, wondering if it was really a need to ask. Why would I want a stranger rubbing a vacuum on my body? Nicole handed me her small vacuum and smiled at me as if waiting for me to start using it. My eyes went from her to the Athena kids that included guys and she got the idea.
"AY! VISITING HOURS ARE OVER NOW SCRAM!" Nicole yelled, scaring the group half to death.
"Don't do that ever again without telling me first," Chloe told her as they walked out. "I want to join in next time."
I turned the miniature vacuum on and used it on my clothes that I wore so it'd suck up all of the dirt. Don't take it the wrong way, but that thing had some great sucking power. The thing took all the dirt out quickly.

I walked to lunch alone, hearing some Hermes kids cheering, "IT'S HUMP DAY, YEAH!"
It occurred to me that I had slept throughout an entire night, without writing a poem. Now I couldn't speak for the entire stupid day. As I walked to the Demeter table, I tried to sit down but whenever I did, the "in" group would scoot over so I couldn't sit down. My eyebrows furrowed and I tried pushing my way between the stubborn demigods but they continued laughing and talking as if I didn't exist.
I smacked one of the girls upside the head good, getting her attention. "What do you want? You daughter of Gaea?"
My eyes widened, the truth was out. I backed away slowly, closer to the Ares table.
"Where is the little tree punk?" one of them yelled, my eyes identified it to be a black teenage guy. He wore battle armor, looking pumped for a fight. His vision went to me as he got out of his seat.
I backed away, shaking my head and putting my arms in front of me, making motions of denial. My heart sped up, this was completely real. Gaea was done with me, she gave up on me, and she couldn't be making this an illusion.
Attention of all the mess hall was captured, many of them were getting out of their seat to join the mob. I blinked tears back, bumping into tables as I wobbled backwards. Please, I mouthed. Pity me, pity me.
I was headed towards the front of the mess hall towards Chiron hoping that he would stop them. My eyes glanced behind me, but Chiron was not there. Only Dionysus, he lazily shook his diet coke in the wine glass as if it was the only thing to do. The demigods started to surround me and I turned on my heels to rush away from them.
They had thought that I was part of Gaea and that I was there to find their weaknesses. The only children that did not join the mob included the Hades table, a few sprinkled at the other tables, and the Athena table was clear except for Annabeth. She stared forward at the crowd, trying to figure out what she could do or say to help.
While they thought that I was part of their enemy, I had been fighting 24/7. I'm including my dreams and everything, I never stopped fighting Gaea. She had killed my father, driven my friend insane, and killed a stranger, all in attempt to get me to join her side. But guess what, I still am blamed for helping her.
They crowded around me, backing me into a wall. This is it, I thought to myself. I'm going to die this way, and there is no stopping it.
"FREEZE!" a deep voice shouted. All eyes landed on Dionysus, whom was standing on top of his chair with a wine glass in his hand. "How stupid could you children possibly be?" he asked.
The demigods murmured to each other, wondering what he meant.
He walked easily through the crowd, everyone stepping out of the way. The god of wine wore sandals, kakis, and a Hawaiian shirt, his black beard short as usual. He walked to my side and put his arm around me. "This is my kid," he claimed. He was given many questioning looks and he rolled his eyes. "She was given my blessing, which gives her influence over grapes. She must have thought that she was a child of Gaea or something," he laughed.
My right arm started tingling as Dionysus looked over the crowd of confused demigods. He rolled his eyes and groaned at the stubborn children. Dionysus then grabbed my arm and rolled up my sleeve quickly. "Is this proof enough for ya'?"
My arm was no longer covered in just green vines, but there were now bunches of small purple circles on them. I realized that they were grapes, I was claimed by Dionysus.
I looked up into his eyes and mouthed, "But my father is dead."
"Don't talk such nonsense. I'm immortal, I can't die."
I will be taking a break for a while on writing about my life. For that past few months, I've had nothing to do except record my story, train, and go on walks with my boyfriend, Alex. If you have any suggestions of things or adventures that I could go on, please comment them because I want to do something.
Don't delete this book because when I start creating the sequel then I will update the next chapter telling you what the title of the next book is.
