I sat down at the Demeter table on the opposite end of the others.  They just kept glancing at me and whispering something; I glared at them for a few seconds and then returned to my food.  It felt awkward to just sit there and eat while others were watching.

I took a deep breath, and stared at my food.  “What is up with you?” Dylan asked as he sat down in the seat facing me.  I tapped the rectangular and wooden table, thinking about how I would answer.

“It is nothing,” I answered.

“Seriously?  We promised each other that we would be 100% honest,” Dylan reminded me.

“Okay, I will tell you later.  So you never answered me the first time.  How was camp?  Are you making friends?” I wondered.

“First of all, you never asked me that before.  Second of all, I made a few friends and I already have a girlfriend,” he informed me.

I looked up from my food and smiled at him.  “Nice job, who is it?”

“Well, she is really pretty and sweet,” Dylan started describing her.  “Her hair is the color of the sunset, absolutely always in perfect curls.  Her face is perfectly smooth…” he rambled on.  I zoned out and ate my food.

“You aren’t listening anymore, are you?” Dylan wondered.

“Sorry, what?”

“I told her about who our mom is.  She wasn’t scared at all,” he told me.

“Oh my gods,” I muttered.  “You can’t tell anyone!”

“What?  You told your boyfriend!”

“For an exchange of information!  It is different when I have something against him that is just as powerful,” I explained.

“Well, you can’t just keep on making up rules and break them yourself too!”

“I’m sorry, but I had a really good reason to tell him,” I told him.

“What?  Where you in love?” he taunted.

“No, we were barely even friends,” I tried to explain.

“Well, you don’t know what it is like to keep something away from the one that you love,” he mumbles.

“Actually, I would find it very hard to tell anyone that secret.  Anyway, maybe she isn’t as bad as I think she is.  What is her name?” I wondered.

“Her name is Chloe.”

Chloe, the one who drove Dan and I to camp.  The one who tried to steal Alex from me.  The one who was trying to make my life worse than it already it.  This time, she knows something that could completely ruin my life.

“Chloe?  She is at camp?” I asked, shocked from the information.

“Yeah, she is undetermined.  She would never tell anyone about our mom, I promise,” Dylan tried to convince me.

“Okay, I am guessing that she kissed you.  Am I correct?” I asked.

“Well, yeah.  She is a great kisser but there is a lot more to her then perfection.”

“Do you know why she is such a great kisser?” I growled.

“Oh, there she is,” Dylan smiled.  He waved her over and she beamed at him while she started our way.

She sat by Dylan, barely leaving any distance between her and him.

“I hate to break up this cuteness, but Chloe can’t eat here.  You have to be at your parent’s table,” I informed her innocently.

“Oh, well if it isn’t Lorry,” Chloe yawned.  “You have as much right to be at this table as I do.”

“Yeah,” I whispered to Dylan.  “She seems like a really trustworthy person,” I say with a large phony smile.

“Give her a chance,” he pleaded.

I took a deep breath with my eyes closed.  When I opened my eyes, I see Chloe trying to hold back a laugh.  “Do you have a problem, Apollo wanna-have?”

“Look, I will not tell anybody about you two if you don’t tell anybody who I am,” Chloe bargained.

“Okay, I accept your offer.  If you tell anyone how dangerous we are, I will personally show you how tight a vine can wrap around someone’s neck,” I smirked.

“Yeah, you would do that to yourself if anyone ever knew about your little secret,” she taunted.  I looked over at Dylan and he just looked at me with pleading eyes.

I look down at my plate and see that I had a few carrots left.  “I’m stuffed, I’m just going to leave you two alone,” I sweetly told them as I got up from the table.  I didn’t care that I left my plate, I knew that I had to get away from camp as soon as possible.
