When we got in the cabin, everyone was going crazy.  They were all really happy about something and were getting a bunch of gardening supplies ready for something.  “Come one and help us get this stuff ready!” one of the Demeter girls commanded.  I snapped out of it and started to get some shovels out of the shed in the back.

“What is going on?” I asked one of the Demeter boys that were also trying to help out.

“I don’t know, it is some big project that we are going to have,” he answered, wrapping a hose around his shoulders.

“I hate surprises,” I muttered.  I followed the crowd of Demeter kids to the Dionysus cabin.  The grapes that usually went along the windows and grew above the door were shiny to see.  My instincts told me that the grapes were not normal.

“Oh, now I get it,” one of the kids sighed.

“What is it?  What are we doing?” I asked, despite for answers.

He rolled his eyes, “Seriously?  Are you even related to Demeter?”

“I’m not related to Athena, so just tell me what is going on!” I commanded.

He simply waved me off and started digging up the grape vines.  I was still so lost so I just took a grape off a vine and ate it.  Right away, I spat it out and ran to the river to wash out the taste.  From behind me, I could hear snickering from a bush.

After I got the taste of bug spray out of my mouth, I went to the bush and moved the branches out of the way.  From behind the bush, I saw Conner and his twin laughing away.

“There are two of you?  Oh gods!” I exclaimed.  One of them was bad enough; I wasn’t sure how this camp could not be full of crazy people if there were two trouble makers.

“Glad to see you to,” Conner shrugged, still snickering.

“Why are you guys laughing?” I growled.

“Because you are a grape even when it was obvious something was wrong with them!” Travis laughed.

“What did you do to those grapes?” I asked.

“We put bug spray on them!  I can’t believe that you haven’t figured that out yet!” they both exclaimed at the same time.  Twins could be very annoying at times.

“Well, thank to you guys, my whole cabin has a project to do.  Don’t do it again or I will get back at you,” I threatened.

“Why would we do the same prank again? Then we would be too predictable!” Travis explained.

“You guys are predictable anyways,” I mumbled as I went to the Dionysus cabin.

The cabin seemed to be excited about the project, like they were happy that the Stolls gave them something to do.  They started pulling out the old grapes, using the perfect amount of force and the perfect angle to make sure that every root was taken out.  As soon as I started to help, I heard heavy steps behind me.  I ignored the steps and continued to work on untangling the plants from each other when the vines wrapped around my wrist.

I looked behind me to see a man with a blue poka dot shirt on and green striped pants.  “Who are you?” he asked, his short black beard moving along with his mouth.  His eyes looked heavy and he sounded bored.

“Floret, daughter of Demeter,” I answered politely.

“Then explain the markings on your arm,” he told me.  I looked down at my arm and it turned out that I forgot to put my sleeve back down.  Everyone stopped working and stared at us.  I didn’t understand what was so interesting about me talking to a guy with no fashion sense at all.

“That is how my mom had claimed me,” I answered calmly, avoiding his eyes.

“Well, I am Dionysus.  I am the wine god,” he told me, seemingly proud of himself.  Then his bored expression returned.  “And I can tell if someone is lieing.”

“Oh, I am sorry,” I apologized, bowing slightly.

“Sorry for what?” Dionysus questioned, enjoying my nervousness.

“I am sorry that I didn’t recognize you before,” I wasn’t sure how to say it.

“You also lied to me of who your mother is,” he smirked.

He knows, that was all that I could think in my head.  I turned on my feet and started running away.  I didn’t know what I was doing, or where I was going, but I knew that it had to be away from him.
