Plotting

I turned to Annie, and see that she sees where I am going with this.

“Yes, there is one more.  You are coming with me Annie,” Apricot planned.  “I will tell you later, Sage. I promise, sorry this is important,” she tells Sage.

“Don’t you even think about it!” Annie warned Apricot.  Apricot just gave her a look that said, ‘I’m waiting’, and Annie finally caved in.  “Fiiiine, but he is going to kill me.”

“Evan!  Annie is hurt!” Apricot shouted in the direction of the door.

“Shut. Up!” Annie warned.  I could faintly see blush.  Footsteps could be heard coming in the direction of the infirmary and Annie seemed to have noticed.  “Great, I think you two want me to die!”

“Can’t touch this,” I sang while I flipped my hair.  It was an old song, but it still existed so they should get the reference.

“I’m going to kill you both!” Annie hissed from embarrassment.

“Can’t touch this,” I sang again, repeating my expert flipping hair trick.

Evan walked in, I was slightly disappointed that he didn’t come running in like he should.  He was actually really cute with pitch black hair, aqua blue eyes, palish completion, tall, gosh he was like an angel.  Of course, he is no guy that I would go out with.

Evan glared at Annie, “I told you not to go in the forest.”

She knew him so well; he was going straight to the lecture.  “Look!  He’s doing exactly what you said he would!” I cheer.

“What now Annie?” he growled.  He sounded like she was always getting herself in trouble.  From what I’ve seen, she does enjoy getting herself in trouble.

“Look here little boy.  You need to stop with this attitude.  She likes you with a passion and ever since I asked that question you have been treating her like crap.  What did she do?  If you want someone to blame, blame me,” Apricot told him.  I thought that he was the one that was going to give a lecture, but receive one.

“Yeah, no kidding.  Continue with your rant, Rhodes,” Annie added.  She then had the lecture sink in and immediately rejected it.  “Apricot!  You weren’t supposed to tell him that!”

“Rhodes?” I asked.

“It’s his last name,” she informed me.

Annie Rhodes, I thought to myself.  “Oh, cute.”

“Well, he can deal with it,” Apricot continued accusing him.

“You two are sooo dead,” Annie muttered.

I flipped my hair and continued to sing.  “Can’t touch this.”

“Will you stop that?  Your hair looks bad enough!” Apricot shouted at me.  “Sorry Annie,” she sincerely told Annie.

I would have gotten really sad right there, but the fact that she changed moods was so funny that I focused on that instead on her words.

“Sorry, I just watched two girls almost die three days ago.  I can’t help it if I don’t look my best through it all,” I reminded them.

“It can’t be as bad as mine,” Annie admitted.

“Mine’s probably the worst,” Apricot stated.  I looked over at her and saw that her hair was like Rapunzel.  Why did they call the movie ‘Tangled’ when her hair is so perfect that there is no way it could be tangled?  Wow, how long have I been out? I wondered.  Sometimes I daydream so deeply that I miss a few minutes of a conversation, sometimes a whole class.  I snapped out of my daydream when I heard a pun.

“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.  Or apricot in this case,” Annie joked.

“Ha!  Nice one!” I smirked.

“Thanks.  So Even, what’s with the silent treatment?” Annie wondered.

He rolled his eyes, “I’m plotting more lectures for you.”

“Most people plot murders.  Speaking of murders, I have to go somewhere,” I said as I rushed out of the room to get out of there.
