Can't Shut Me Up

They had had a rough day full of fighting and all, so they went to sleep quickly.  I didn’t leave until I heard the satisfying soft snore of Alex.  I retied my shoes, making sure that they were tight.  I stood up and faced the direction of where camp was and commanded the shoes to lift me.  They were hard to control; I smashed into some trees, making a lot of noise.  I wasn’t sure if any of them were awake, but there was no going back.  I had the shoes take me to camp at a speed that made my cheeks wave from the speed.  Soon, I saw the camp and flew down to the Demeter cabin.  I flew down to the door and entered.

“Where have you been?” an angered brunette girl asked.  She crossed her arms.  “Do you have any idea what time it is?”

“No!  Please tell me what time it is!” I begged.  She seemed shocked from my reaction.

“It is about 11:58,” she shrugged.

“Holy Hera, I need to go!” I exclaimed, using my shoes to fly up a flight of stairs to my bed and stuff.  I opened my poetry book and it shined in my eyes.  I squinted, the light just about blinded me.  I hurriedly took out a pen and started writing.

Day Six

I now have a secret

that I must bestow.

There are very few people

that are allowed to know.

It helped my make a friend,

but made one go.

I wish there were more people

that I could show.

What should I do

when I feel strong magic flow?

Or if this book

ever starts to glow?

Will every one find out

so I will have to stay low?

I sighed, glad that I was able to do it just in time.  I picked my old bag off the floor and put my poetry book back in it.  Then I put the pen in the side pocket.  I put a few clothes in my bag and noticed a book on the floor.  It was a small book with tiny printing in it.  It was an herb book, full of ways to heal someone with plants.  It also had a graph in the back that said how to make sure if plant isn’t poisonous.  I shoved that into my bag and zipped it up.  I then swung my bag over my shoulder.

I was about to go down stairs, but remembered the angry girl. I decided to jump out the window and have my shoes take me to Alex and Rain.  When I finally got to where they were, I collapsed on my bed, completely tired and exhausted.  I  didn’t care that my hair was in a complete mess from the flight or that I suddenly had a bag from out of nowhere, I just wanted to sleep until I was completely rested.  Of course, there is no way that could happen.
