After McDonalds, Apricot and Alex went on a walk. I was sure that Apricot was using her magic to get all the information that she could out of him. I shrugged it off and went to my cabin. Everyone that I passed was deep in thought about their plants, adjusting the leaves and fluffing up the soil. Some were using a dropper and dropping the perfect amount of water in the perfect spot. How am I even related to these people? I looked down at my arm. Oh wait, we’re not related. My bad.
I went to my bed and looked out the window, it was getting late and I didn’t write a poem yet. When I was about to reach to my bag and take out my book, I remembered that I screamed when I woke up. The only reason no one but Alex knew, was because no one else was around. What if I woke up screaming, waking everyone up? That would be hard to explain.
I decided to just pick up my bag that I still hadn’t unpacked and sleep in the woods. Don’t worry, I’m going to do a Katniss and sleep in a tree.
No one even noticed that I walked out of the cabin with a traveler bag, I found it funny. I walked right past everyone and walked right into the woods, no one cared enough to stop me. At least no one would notice if I died. I thought to myself. I like to think of comforting thoughts like that if you hadn’t noticed. I traveled about half a mile into the forest before I was comfortable with the tree and distance. Sure, I could grow a tree where ever I wanted, but there is no fun in that.
I climbed up the tall pine tree, avoiding getting my eye poked out by one of the weird leaves. Instead of getting to the top branch, I went to a branch that was mostly concealed with other branches and leaves from other trees. I opened my poetry book and then had a vine wrap around it so it didn’t fall. I then also grew another vine to wrap around me to keep me from falling, otherwise it wouldn’t be sleeping Katniss style.
I looked down at my poetry book, unsure of what to write.
“Yay! A monster!” I heard from the ground. I was slightly hurt because I thought that she called me a monster, until I looked down and saw that it was Apricot yelling at a HellHound. I have no idea what had gotten into her.
“WHOO! Fight time!” a girl exclaimed from beside Apricot. I was confused, why were they so happy to fight a HellHound?
“I don’t know why people don’t like to do this. It’s so much fun!” Apricot shouted while the HellHound roared. I really didn’t understand why she would do something so stupid. Oh wait, I’m here too. Apricot took out her mascara sword and started to charge the beast.
“Yeah!” the girl agrees. She also charged the hound with nothing but a small pink dagger. I really hope that she is the daughter of Athena so she knows what to do with it. She seems to be smart enough, because she charged from behind.
Apricot distracted the hound by yelling at it, “Hey you mutt! Come over here!” she taunted, running in random directions.
The girl stabbed the hound’s tail, so I guess she isn’t the daughter of Athena. The strike only hurt the hound and it wacked her with its paw, making her crash.
“Annie!” Apricot exclaimed, rushing to the girl. She said something to herself and then turned to face the hound. “You are so dead!” she yelled at it.
I started trying to get out of the vines that held me down, but I was tightly secured. My mind was spinning, telling me that Apricot was going to die. I tried to ignore it and continued struggling. When I looked back down, I saw both girls on the ground and the HellHound had left. I couldn’t tell if they were alive or not, but I had to calm down so I could help. I took a deep breath and was able to focus on the vines. They loosened at my command until they untangled themselves. I climbed down the tree to look at the bodies.
