Lucas woke up in the jail cell. His arms and wrists were in chains. He would easily break them if he wasn't so weak. He only got a small cup of blood a day to survive.

The jail cell opened. Two workers came and dragged him to the room. There was a large empty tank.

Lucas knew what they were about to do. They attached a metal collar around his neck. They dragged his body up the stairs. Lucas tries to squirm but they had a tight grip on him.

They attach the hook to his collar. He watches as they fill the tank with vervain water until it reaches the top of the tank.

"Please don't do this!" Lucas pleads. "No!" Lucas feels himself get lowered to the tank. His feet touch the water and his feet starts to burn and his skin turn red and blotchy.

Lucas yells in pain as the water is up to his waist now. He feels like his body is on fire. They lower him until he's all the way in.

Lucas feels his eyes, nose, and mouth fill up with vervain water. His skin is red beyond recognition and he feels like he's in hell. Lucas feels his eyes close and he abruptly stops moving and he dies in the water.

"Lucas! Lucas!" He hears a familiar voice. He feels two warm hands caress his face. His half lidded eyes look up.

He sees Maya in front of him. "M-Maya what are you doing here?" He asked weakly.

"You need to fight Lucas. Fight for us!" Maya declared. "I'm trying but it's hard." Tears welled in Lucas's eyes.

"I know it's hard but you need to keep going. I believe in you Lucas." Maya said. "I won't give up on us. I promise." Lucas vowed. "I love you."

"I love you too." She smiled. She kissed him and then she disappeared.

Lucas's unconscious body was lifted out of the water tank. They threw him back in the jail cell.

A few hours later, Lucas coughed up the water and the blood from his lungs. Everything in his body burned. His skin was luckily back to it's normal pigment.

Lucas groans and lays his head back against the wall. "2511 how was your swim?"

"Fuck you," Lucas growled. Shawn chuckled. "Now is that any way to say that to Maya's father?" Shawn asked.

"You're not a father at all. You're a monster." Lucas snapped. Shawn's grin turned down.

He walked in the cell and plunged the stake deep in Lucas's stomach. Lucas groaned in pain. "Don't ever say that to me again." Shawn fumed.

He left the stake there and locked the jail cell.

Maya decided to go to school to distract herself. She got dressed in a dark blue sweater with blue jeans and converse. She didn't bother putting any make up on.

She silently ate her food. She left the house and drove to school. Her best friend Riley came up to her and gave her a hug. Farkle gave her a hug also.

Maya didn't really pay attention to any of her classes. She was kind of just there. She looked at the seat where Lucas sat in sadly.

"Ms. Hunter stop daydreaming!" Mr. Brooks snapped at her. "I'm sorry Mr. Brooks." Maya apologized and faced the front again.

Maya had bumped into Vanessa and Cole in the hallway.

"Hey Maya we just wanted to let you know that your still welcome to come over if you want to." Vanessa said.

"We still want to be your friend." Cole added. "Thanks I'll keep that in mind." Maya gave a small smile and left for the cafeteria.

The dreaded school day was finally over. Maya did her homework and fell asleep in her bed again.

"Maya dinner's ready." Shawn said. "I don't want any." Maya declared.

"Okay sweetheart," Shawn closed the door. It's only been a day. Just wait a couple days and she'll soon forget about him. Shawn thought.
