They finally made it back home. Cole and James grabbed Lucas who was trying to fight them off but he was too weak from the vervain. They took him to the cellar. Lucas slammed his body repeatedly against the door wanting to get out. "Get me out of here!" He yelled.

Maya watched her boyfriend lose control. All she wanted to do was comfort him but she couldn't. Not until they turn on his emotions again. When the door wouldn't budge, Lucas laid down on the bed and fell asleep.

"How long does he have to stay in there?" Maya asked. "Until we convince him to feel any type of emotion." Vanessa answered.

"It can take up to months or years. Hopefully it won't come to that." James said. "Until then we all need to get some rest." James stated. Everyone agreed since they were all pretty tired from the trip.

Before Maya left she looked at her sleeping boyfriend. "I won't give up on you, I love you no matter what." She said. Maya walked upstairs to their room.

For weeks they tried to get Lucas to feel something but nothing worked. Lucas was difficult and he only laughed in amusement when they tried to break him.

Maya was looking through her stuff when a ring slipped out from her backpack. There was also a letter along with it. She opened it. It was from her dad. He said it was for her when she was older. She didn't want anything to do with him but she was curious of what he wrote.

It was a ring that was supposed to protect her from supernatural creatures. Maya thought of the perfect idea. She ran down the stairs where Cole, Vanessa and James were in the living room talking.

"You guys I have the perfect idea that might turn Lucas's emotions back on." Maya announced. "Really? What is it?" Cole asked. "My dad gave me this ring. It helps protect me from the supernatural. If one of you kill me it will turn his emotions back on." Maya told them.

All three of them protested. "Absolutely not you know how dangerous that will be?" Vanessa questioned. "Not only that Lucas will never forgive us for killing you." Cole remarked.

"It's too much of a risk." James declared. "You guys we have no other options. We tried everything and maybe this will be it." Maya declared.

"Fine let's do this." James stated. "Are you crazy?" Vanessa asked. "It's the only way and she'll come back to life."  James told her.

All four of them walked downstairs. Lucas smirked when he saw them. "Trying to get my emotions back again. Too bad it won't work."

"If you don't turn your emotions back on right now I'll kill her right in front of you." Cole threatened. Lucas chuckled darkly. "I don't care at all. She's just another human."

"Lucas please." Maya pleaded. Lucas gave no emotion still.

"Fine then." Cole snapped Maya's neck and Maya fell on the ground. All of Lucas's emotions flooded back in that moment. "No you can't be dead!" Lucas screamed. He kneeled down beside his girlfriend and brought her head to his lap. Tears pooled out of Lucas's eyes. He glared at Cole in anger. "You killed the love of my life." He was about to attack Cole but Vanessa and James held him back.

"Lucas she's wearing a ring that protects her from supernaturals. She's alive. She made up the plan." Vanessa explained. Lucas looked down to Maya in relief. "She's alive." He sighed in relief. He picked her up from the ground.

Lucas pressed his lips against her forehead. He carried her up to his room. Maya woke up to two strong arms wrapped around her. She smiled into his embrace.

"Baby I'm so sorry for saying what I said to you and for everything that has," but Maya cut him off by kissing him senseless. Lucas returned the kiss with equal fervor. After a few minutes they pulled away for air. Lucas laid his forehead against hers.

"You don't need to be sorry baby. Your emotions were off and you weren't yourself. I'm glad you're you again." Maya stated.

"I can't believe you let Cole kill you." Lucas remarked. "I would do anything for you Lucas. I love you." Maya's blue eyes stared lovingly into his green ones.

"I love you too but promise me don't ever do that again." He said. "I won't if you promise me you won't turn off your emotions ever again." Maya remarked. "Deal," he smiled. He pecked her on the lips and they fell asleep in each other's arms once again.

The next morning they woke up from the best sleep they had in weeks. Lucas pressed warm kisses along her neck making her giggle.

She turned around and smiled up at him. She was too adorable to not kiss. He leaned down and planted his lips against hers. Maya threw her arms around his neck and sighed into the kiss.

"Good morning princess." His gravelly voice greeted her. "I missed you calling me that." She told him. "I missed calling you that too." He caressed her cheek softly with his thumb. She kissed his knuckles and snuggled up against him.

After a few more minutes they decided to get up. "Piggy back ride?" Maya asked with a cute smile. "Of course babe hop on." He chuckled. "Yay!" Maya cheered. She jumped on his back.

Lucas securely wrapped his arms under her thighs. Maya flung her arms around his neck and laid her head on his back. Lucas smiled and walked downstairs.
