Chapter Twenty Seven

The week flew by quickly and it was finally their much needed date night. Maya went dress shopping with Vanessa at the mall and she was super excited for her boyfriend to see it.

Lucas was dressed in a green button up shirt with black jeans and black shoes. His dark hair was up in a quiff. He was waiting downstairs for his girl.

Maya was doing the finishing touches to her look. She was wearing a white halter top dress. Her hair was in beautiful waves that flowed effortlessly down her back. She wore light makeup. Maya smiled walking down the stairs.

Lucas was in shock at how gorgeous she was. He walked over to her. He pulled her in for a kiss making Maya smile into the kiss.

He pulled away moving a strand of hair behind her ear. "You look beautiful as always." He complimented her. "Thank you. You look pretty handsome too." She fixed his collar.

Lucas wrapped his arm around her and they left the house. He took her to the beach for their date. The table was set up with food and drinks. It wasn't too cold so it was the perfect weather.

There was a candle in the center with flower petals surrounding them. "You sap." She smiled. "I know." He smiled fondly down at her.

She stood on her tippy toes giving him another kiss. "I love you so much." She declared. "I love you too princess." He grinned. He pulled out her chair for her and sat down on the other side. He poured wine for the both of them.

Maya took a bite of the fettuccine alfredo. "This is so good. I had no idea you could cook." She took another bite.

"Vanessa taught all of us how to cook so she wouldn't have to make food all the time." Lucas said making them both laugh.

Lucas pulled out a slice of chocolate cake. "You shouldn't have." Maya wiped a fake tear from her face. Lucas chuckled handing her a fork. After they finished the dessert, they decided to go into the ocean.

They took off their clothes. Lucas picked her up making her giggle as he ran to the ocean. They dove in the water.

Maya wiped her hair from her face. Lucas came up after her. Maya wrapped her legs around him. Lucas carried her with ease. She brushed the wet hair from his face. She pressed her lips against his.

Lucas melted into the passionate kiss. Their tongues met each other's making the kiss wet and sloppy. Lucas sucked on her neck before returning back to her lips.

After a little while they climbed out of the water. Lucas handed her a towel. They dried themselves off. They put their clothes back on and drove back home.

He put the car roof down to dry them off a little more. Maya closed her eyes, her blonde hair blowing all around her. Lucas looked at her lovingly. After they arrived home, they took much needed warm showers. They cuddled together on the bed letting sleep take over them.

Lucas fluttered his eyes open. He rubbed his eyes checking the time on his clock. It was 10 am. He wanted to make breakfast for the house today. He kissed Maya's forehead before carefully sliding out of her arms.

"Where are you going?" Maya asked with a yawn. "I'm going to make breakfast sorry for waking you up." Lucas apologized. "It's fine I want to help." She rubbed her eyes.

"Okay let's go." Lucas said. Maya followed after him walking downstairs. She put her blonde hair up in a ponytail.

Lucas took out the eggs, bacon and pancake batter. Lucas decided to make the pancakes while Maya started on the bacon and eggs.

He added some chocolate chips in the batter. Maya took a handful pouring them  in her mouth making Lucas laugh.

Lucas poured the pancake batter in the pan. He waited a few minutes before flipping them over. Maya was finished with the eggs and bacon and she piled them on separate plates. Lucas was finished with the pancakes putting them in five separate plates.

Lucas took out the orange juice pouring them in five cups. Maya set up the table. Cole, Vanessa, and James came downstairs. They greeted them with good mornings sitting down to eat their breakfasts.

Lucas sat down next to Maya handing her her orange juice. "We should go to the carnival today!" Vanessa stated in excitement.

"I'm too lazy." Cole whined. "You're always too lazy." James said making the whole table laugh. "Fine I'll go." Cole grumbled.

"How far is it?" James asked. "It's an hour and a half away." Vanessa said looking down at her phone for the directions.

After they finished their breakfast they went to their rooms to get dressed. Lucas wore a white shirt with blue jeans and brown shoes. Maya wore a red and white striped shirt with blue shorts and white converse.

They met up with the others downstairs. They decided to take James's car.

Vanessa was in the front with James. Lucas, Cole, and Maya were in the back. Maya placed her head on Lucas's shoulder. Lucas laid his head on top of hers, sliding his hand through hers.

They unintentionally fell asleep. Cole shook the couple awake. "We're here sleepyheads!" Cole said before leaving the car. Lucas slid out after Maya closing the car door.

There was loud carnival music playing. There was a light up Ferris wheel. The smell of cotton candy and children's laughter flowed through the air.

They paid for their tickets and walked in.

"What should we do first?" Cole said. "The bumper cars." James said. No one opposed and they all waited in the line.

After a few minutes they were allowed in. Lucas took the blue one, Maya chose the purple one. Everyone else chose different colors. Lucas laughed when he bumped into James and Vanessa twice. Cole rear ended him before spinning out of control making them all laugh.

Maya got Lucas a few times. She laughed when James and Vanessa trapped her in with their bumper cars.

They laughed when they left the rink. They decided to go on the Ferris wheel next. Maya was a little bit scared. Lucas told her he would kiss her at the top like every cliché couple making Maya giggle and feel a bit relaxed.

They went in a cart. They were safely locked inside. The ride slowly reached to the top. When they got to the top of the Ferris wheel Lucas kissed her.

Maya smiled, carding her hands through his hair. They pulled for air. "I love you." He smiled down at her.

"I love you too." She spoke softly. He placed his arm around her as the Ferris wheel went two more times around before stopping.
