Chapter forty nine

After a little while they stood up from the cellar door. James, Vanessa, Cole, Riley, and Farkle walked in. Maya threw her arms around Riley. "I'm so sorry I didn't mean any word that I said to you." Maya apologized "it's okay I forgive you peaches you weren't yourself. I'm just glad you're happy again. That's enough thanks for me." Riley smiled.

"Words can never be enough for bringing my boyfriend back from the dead. Thank you so much Riles. I love you." She declared. "I love you too." Riley smiled. After she hugged Riley she hugged the rest of the them apologizing for what she said.

Maya felt gross so she went upstairs to take a shower taking Lucas along with her. When Maya was finished she changed into her pajamas climbing in the bed with Lucas. Lucas pecked her forehead curling his arm around her. The place where he was always meant to be.

Maya felt her eyes become droopy but she didn't close them. "Why don't you go to sleep baby?" He asked. "I-I'm afraid if I wake up it will all be a dream and none of this will be real." Maya spoke vulnerably. Her blue eyes were filled with fear.

"I'm here with you. I'm not going anywhere. Feel my heartbeat." He placed her small hand against his chest feeling his heartbeat.

"Promise me you won't leave me again." She whispered. "I promise." He vowed. He lifted her chin up colliding his lips with hers. Maya slid her hand up to his neck digging her hand into his hair as they got lost in the sweet and passionate kiss.

Maya woke up wrapped around Lucas's arms. She stroked his hair softly removing some strands away from his face. She couldn't believe that he was alive and right next to her. She grinned when Lucas peeled open his eyes, his green eyes landing on hers.

"Good morning beautiful," hearing those words from him again made her heart race. She leaned in meeting her lips with his. "Good morning." She greeted back warmly. Lucas rolled on top of her peppering her face and neck with kisses causing Maya to let out angelic giggles.

She then started to cry making Lucas stop. "Baby what's wrong?" Lucas asked. "I'm so happy. I never felt happy in so long." She spoke brokenly. "I'm here baby it's okay." Lucas whispered in her ear, stroking her back in soft circles.

After they washed up in the bathroom, the couple went downstairs to eat breakfast. The siblings watched with happy smile on their faces as the couple started to banter with each other. Conversations arose around the table as everyone talked to each other for what felt like hours.

"Alright Lucas brother bonding time." Cole said patting Lucas on the back purposely hard. James ruffled his hair making Lucas laugh trying to get out of his older brother's headlock. Maya and Vanessa watched fondly as the three boys started to push each other around.

Lucas kissed Maya on the lips. "I'll be back soon." He told her before leaving the mansion with his brothers. "I was thinking we can have a girl day." Vanessa told her. "I'll be down. Let's go." Maya said with an excited smile. They took Maya's car and drove towards the mall.

They first went to sephora for some makeup. Then they went to H&M, Hollister, Victoria's Secret, and Nordstrom. After they bought some new clothes and shoes they sat down to eat. Maya laughed as Vanessa told her the story of how she pranked Cole when they were younger. "I'm so glad I'm an only child. If my sibling did that to me I would be so mad." Maya said.

"He was angry for only three days before he got over it." Vanessa said before taking a bite of her cheeseburger. "One thing I absolutely love about vampirism is i can eat as much shit as I want and I won't gain a pound." Maya told her taking a handful of curly fries.

"I agree." Vanessa said with her mouthful making Maya almost choke on her food from laughter. She took a sip of her water to calm herself down. "Were a mess." Maya remarked. "You're not lying." Vanessa said as their laughter died down.

After exploring for a bit more in the mall, they went to go to the club. Maya was having flashbacks of what she did to all those innocent people. She started to lose her breath and felt the world go dizzy around her.

"Maya are you okay? What's wrong?" Vanessa asked in concern. Maya tried to answer but she felt like she couldn't move or speak. Vanessa quickly took Maya out of the club calling Lucas right away.

Maya kept on wheezing and clutching to Vanessa's arm. "Hey ness what's up?" Lucas asked. "Lucas I think Maya is having a panic attack. Can you come over here. I don't know what to do." Lucas's smile dropped and his expression turned serious as he walked out of the bar they were staying at. "I'll be there as fast as I can." Lucas hung up the phone.

"Maya's having a panic attack I have to go." Lucas told his brothers. "Take the car we'll Uber home." Cole threw his brother the keys to his car. "Thanks I'll see you guys when I get home." He told them quickly leaving the bar.

When Vanessa finished the call, Maya's body was shaking. She had tears running down her face. Her claws were out and her eyes were flickering from yellow to blue. "Hang on Maya my brother's almost here." Vanessa tried to comfort her but Maya couldn't focus.

Lucas finally arrived to the club they were at. He saw Maya violently shaking and crying. Lucas sped over to her placing his arm around her. "Maya focus on my voice." He placed her hands on his chest. "Breathe with me. There you go in and out." Lucas spoke calmly.

Breath started to enter Maya's lungs and her body stopped shaking. Her tear filled eyes looked up into Lucas's forest green ones. Maya wrapped her arms around her boyfriend. Lucas kissed her forehead repeatedly stroking her hair softly with his fingers.

"I'm right here love. Everything is okay." He whispered.
