Chapter 46: Lights Down Low

CHERYL'S POV

Toni and I made our way to the speak-easy at Pop's which was converted to a party area for our after party.

"There they are!" Veronica yelled as we descended the stairs.

Pop passed around the food to everyone as Toni and I sat at the head table with our bridesmen and maids.

"How does it feel?" Micheal asked once we settled in to our table.

"Unreal. I'm so ecstatic that we're finally married." Toni gushed.

"Please. You two have been like an old married couple since you started dating. It was only a matter on time." Veronica said and took a sip from her drink.

"Speaking of, V, when are you and Pea getting married?" Cheryl said.

Suddenly both Sweet Pea and Veronica became very interested in their burgers.

"Relax, it was a joke." Cheryl said when she noticed the uneasiness of the couple.

Right after some very awkward laughing from a nervous Veronica and Sweet Pea, Josie came up to the table.

"Hey we were just going to start with the first dance." Josie said.

"TT? You ready?" I asked her, but she was stuck in a daze.

"Topaz, stop starring at your wife and get your ass up." Micheal said. Toni broke her gaze.

"Yeah, yeah. You ready?" Toni asked me getting up as she held out her hand. I took it as we made our way to the dance floor.

Toni led me to the dance floor as I put my arms around her shoulders as she put her hands around my waist.

"You look amazing, Cher." Toni said as we swayed.

"I love you, Toni." I told her.

"We made it. We're finally married." she gushed.

"Cheryl, I've wanted to marry you since the day we met." Toni said.

♪ Cause baby we're just reckless kids, trying to find an island in the flood♪

"Toni," I began.

"You are my everything, Cheryl. Since the day we met." she continued.

♪ Under heavy skies in the rain, you're dancing in your bare feet, just we're in a movie♪

"I've never loved someone this much, terrified of losing them." she said next, on the verge of tears.

♪ Grab my hand and we're chasing the train, I catch you looking back at me, running through a cloud of steam♪

"Toni, you won't lose me, not again. That's kind of the point being married." I reminded her.

♪ Can I stop the flow of time, can I swim in your divine? Cause I don't think I'd ever leave this place♪

"I know, I just, I can't believe you actually said yes. You are the best thing that has happened to this town, to this entire world." Toni said.

"TT, can you stop pretending that I'm so amazing when I know that you make me amazing." I told her.

"I just love you so much." Toni told me.

"I know." I smirked. She pulled me closer and I felt her body against mine. I rested my head on her shoulder.

I place my face in the crook of her neck, kissing it softly.

The music faded away as we parted from our embrace.

I smiled at her lovingly as she leaned in and kissed me. Our lips parted as everyone cheered for us in the background.

But none of that mattered.

All I could see, was Toni's gaze on me.

TONI'S POV

After having red velvet cake thrown at my face by Cheryl and drinking lots of drinks, I finally thought it was time to pull Cheryl to a quiet corner.

"Babe! Shouldn't we be here with our guests?" she asked me.

"They're too drunk to notice." I told her, "Besides, don't you want to know where our honeymoon is going to be?"

She beamed and nodded slowly. I took her hand and led her to a private room.

In the room was a couch and a box sitting on top.

"What's this?" she asked me letting my hand go to see what was in the box.

"My wedding present to you." I said smiling.

"Babe! I told you not to get me anything!" she complained.

"But you're going to need this for our honeymoon." I told her. She rolled her eyes and opened the box.

"SPF 100?" she asked, "So somewhere sunny."

"Look deeper in the box." I said smiling.

"WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!" she yelled as she pulled out the Mickey-Mouse ears. She pulled me into a hug and I could feel her smile growing.

"We're going for two weeks." I announced, "eight days in the parks, some time at Universal, and the rest just around in the pools and stuff."

"Babe!" she smiled.

"And don't worry, I got us a secluded area so none of the little children will hear your loud moans." I teased.

"Maybe I can make you moan right now." Cheryl smirked as she moved to straddle me.

"I wouldn't want to stand in your way." I said as her lips met mine.

"Try to be quiet so no one hears us." Cheryl said as she worked her way down to my neck.

"Make me." I whispered as I unzipped her dress.
