Raegan's pov:

I woke up the next morning, determined to find the only person who mattered in my life. The only boy who I've ever loved.

Kale agreed to meet me at the adoption place at nine. It's eight and my mom is about to leave for work.

"I love you mom." I say as she puts he shoes on.

"I love you too Rae. Be good." She smiles and kisses my forehead. As she leaves the house, I wanted to breakdown crying. The only reason I didn't was because I was going to be happy after I find him. After I leave with Justin and maybe never return.

I've been ready since seven because I've been so anxious. All I want to do is find him and make sure he's okay. To make sure he's not having a panic attack. To make sure he's not scared to be alive right now.

It takes maybe twenty minutes to get there, so after getting in my car, I start driving. I don't think about anything while driving. How could I? Once I arrive, I wait a few minutes for Kale. He eventually shows up and I walk quickly over to his car. He gets out and we instantly go to embrace each other. Our hug lasts a few minutes, I didn't want to let go.

"I'll go in and talk to the lady at the front desk. While you sneak down the hall and look for his room." He says pulling away.

"Okay." I nod. We walk up the semi-big building and Kale opens the door, going in first. The lady at the desk is turned around in her chair, checking some papers. Kale quickly pushes me and I make my way out of sight from them. I start walking down the hall.

So many last names, but I try my best to focus on one. This isn't a big place, so he should be on the first floor.

Blake. Here is it. He's in this room. I take a deep breath and quietly knock on the door making sure no one else hears me. It takes a minute, but the door finally opens a crack and I see him peaking out. He opens it more and sees its me. He gasps but I quickly put my hand over his mouth, shutting him up. He pulls me into his room and shuts the door.

"Raegan?" He asks as I take my hand off his mouth. My eyes gloss over with tears.

"Oh thank god you're okay." I smile and he jumps in my arms, holding me tight. So tight. And it feels amazing. I finally hear quiet sobs next to my ear as his body shakes against mine. I walk over and sit down on his bed, which by the way is so uncomfortable.

"Shh it's okay, I'm here. No one will ever take you away from me again." I whispers rubbing his back. Please never leave my arms.

"You came to look for me?" He asks pulling his head away and I notice now how much of a wreck he is. His face is red and wet from tears. His breathing is shaky and he looks paralyzed.

"Why wouldn't I Baby?" I asked. "I can't live without you."

"But I hurt you. I used my powers-"

"Baby I don't care about that. Kale is down the hall talking to the lady at the desk. Pack some clothes quickly." I say. "I'm getting you out of here."

"How did you find me?" He asks.

"Does that matter?" I ask.

"No." He shakes his head, forcing a smile. "I was so scared Raegan, I thought I'd never see you again."

"I knew that wasn't going to happen." I say. I quickly connect our lips gently, needing to kiss him. I needed to feel this.

"I love you." He whispers.

"I love you more."

He packs a bag with some of the new clothes they gave him. They actually were kinda nice. Once he's done, he grabs my hand.

"Let's get out of here." He says. I smile and we hold hands as I open the door, looking left to right. It's all clear.

"Is there a back door?" I ask Justin. He nods.

"Yeah there is! And there is no alarm, they brought me in through the back." He says.

"Ok perfect." I say as I walk out holding his hand. We quickly walk down the hall and I see the door. There really is no alarm. I guess because this is an old building.

"Raegan there are guards coming. Justin says quickly. I push the door open and we walk outside. I make sure not to slam the door. Justin and I start running until we get to the car which I parked on the side of the building. Once we get in, I pull out my phone to text Kale.

Me: I got him, come out to the car.

Kale: Coming!

A few minutes later, Kale walks to my car.

"Can we meet at your house?" I ask.

"Yeah hurry lets get out of here." He says as he gets in his car parked next to mine.

I pull into Kale's driveway after him and Justin and I get out. Kale comes up to me and I hug him. I wrap my arms tightly around his arms and he rubs my back.

"Thank you, thank you." I keep saying over and over to him. He pulls away from the hug and smiles at me.

"Of course Raegan." He says. "I'd do anything for my best friend." I smile and Kale looks at Justin.

"Are you okay Justin?" He asks him. Justin doesn't say or do anything for a second. But then he doesn't something unexpected. He walks closer to Kale and wraps his arms around his upper body.

"Thank you Kale." Justin whispers. Kale looks up at me and smiles.

"I'm just glad you are okay." He says hugging him back. Justin pulls away and comes closer to me how, gripping my hand. I kiss his forehead.

"Why don't you two go up to my room and talk. No one is home, I'll stay in the sitting room." Kale says. Justin and I nod. I really need to talk to him. I grab his hand and bring him inside.
