Raegan's pov:

My eyes open lightly and I notice I have my arm around Justin. We came back on the floor last night to get some sleep. I was worried about him, I'm glad Kale woke me up. I'm a very heavy sleeper.

I take my arm off from around Justin and lay on my back, stretching. I look up and see Kale still sleeping. I grab my phone and check the time.

"Kale?" I stand up slowly and shake him. He takes a second before opening his eyes and seeing me. "Aren't you going to school?" I ask.

"No." He sits up rubbing his eyes. "This week is our week off." He says.

"Oh I didn't even know."

"Yeah I mean if it wasn't, your mom would not let you stay here." He laughs a bit.

"Yeah." I fake smile and sit on the edge of his bed. I put my head in my hands.

"Hey." Kale shifts himself so he's sitting next to me. "You alright?"

"I uh-" I pick my head up and look into his eyes. Then I glance at Justin. "I don't know." My eyes fill with tears thinking about last night.

"It's okay. You should have known this wasn't going to be easy." He lifts his arms and wraps them around me. I do the same, putting my head on his shoulder. I nod, even though I didn't really realize this wasn't going to be easy.

"I saw something last night Kale." I whisper to him. He pulls away but keeps his head close to me.

"What was it?" He asks.

"I-I think I saw Justin's eyes turn black for a second." I stutter.

"What does that mean?" Oh wait. Kale never saw Justin use his powers. He's only used them twice around me.

"He has these powers. His eyes turn black and he can forcefully move things. But he only does it when he's angry." I explain quietly.

"Was he angry last night?" He asks.

"I don't know. But he didn't do anything. His eyes just flickered to black, I saw them." I say. "He's uh..."

"He's what?"

"He's used them on me before." I say quickly.

"What? When?" He asks confused.

"Before he was taken to the foster home he kinda of threw me into my front porch stairs." I say.

"Weren't you mad at him? That's crazy." He asks now glancing at Justin too. I put my hand on his chin to make him look at me again.

"No. He was scared. I don't think he has good control sometimes."

"We need to help him." Kale says. I nod.

"Thanks for listening." I say.

"Of course Rae."

I go back onto the floor and carefully shake Justin awake. He groans lightly and shakes his head. I smile.

"Come on Justin." I say. I lean down and attack his face with kisses. He starts to laugh as he pushes my face away.

"Okay I'm up." He says. Once he sits up, I kiss his lips sweetly. Then I think of talking to him about what I saw last night.

"Can I talk to Justin alone, Kale?" I ask him. He nods and leaves the room without question. I see Justin looking at me worried.

"Everything okay?" He asks. I sit down across from him and grab both of his hands.

"You trust me right?" I ask.

"Yeah of course." He says.

"So when I ask you this, please tell me the truth." I say. He nods.

"Were you angry last night when I was talking to you?"

"N-no. Why?" He asks. I look down for a second breathing in.

"Because I saw your eyes switch from green to black and I know that's when you use your powers. And you told me it's only when you are angry so I was concerned." I say actually say quicker than it was supposed to be.

"Oh you saw that." He says more like a statement. So they did change color.

"Yeah and I want to make sure you're okay." I smile a little. He lets go of my hands.

"I did know what it happened." He says. "What if I cant control it?" He asks.

"I'm sure you can baby." I say.

"But I hurt you before. I don't think I can handle it sometimes. I wasn't mad last night." He shrugs.

"Come with me." I stand up and take his hand making him stand up. I walk out of Kales room with him and we go downstairs. Kale is in the kitchen.

"What are you doing Raegan?" Justin asks.

"I want to figure something out." I say. I open the refrigerator and grab a full water bottle. I put it on the table and I have Justin sit down in front of it.

"Raegan?" Kale asks confused. I don't answer.

"Now Justin, see if you can lift this water bottle using your powers. I know you aren't angry but please try." I kiss his forehead and I make sure kale and I are out of the way.

"Ok." He takes a deep breathe and closes his eyes. When he opens them again they aren't black. I see him still trying to move the bottle, but it doesn't. Not one bit. I notice Justin trying to very hard. Then he gives up.

"Hey hey." I say and he looks at me.

"I'm s-sorry I cant." He says looking away from me.

"It's okay baby." I run my fingers through his hair and hug him.

"I don't like using my powers." He whispers.

"I might need to help you control them when you are angry." I say. He nods.

"I understand. I love you." He says standing up and kissing me.

"I love you too." I say back as I see Kale in the corner of my eye.

"What am I going to do with you two?" He smiles.

"You love us Kale." I stick my tongue out at him. He shakes his head walking out of the kitchen.

Sorry this chapter was rushed and sort of a filler. Next chapter I'm going to do something that will help Justin and Raegan out of Kales house! But hope you enjoyed ❤️ Please comment and vote! Where are my active ones?
