Raegan's pov:

My eyes stay open. The whole night. Nothing more than a blink. I couldn't. I just couldn't. This is all my fault. And for all I know he could be hurt right now. He could be scared. He could be in a major trouble.

I lay on my back. I stare up at the ceiling. Tear stains on my face. I'm sweating and I'm scared for what's going to happen.

"Raegan, honey?" My mom knocks on my door. I sigh and chock on my tears.

"Yeah mom?" I ask.

"School. please get ready."

"Wait!" I get up and walk to the door. I unlock it and open it to see her standing there, all ready for work.

"What?" She asks.

"I'm so tired and I feel like crap. Can I please stay home?" I ask trying to make my voice sound groggy.

"It's been a while and you've been good. I guess." She says. "Feel better and get some rest." She kisses my forehead.

"Thanks mom." I give her a light smile and she walks away. "Love you!"

"Love you more son."

I close my bedroom door and now I just think. I can't get any sleep and I'm worried about him. I need to go back in the woods and find him. Fast!

I grab a hoodie and replace my T-shirt with it. I put on some sweatpants and take my phone. I put it on my pocket. I look out my window and see her car is gone. I need to go.

I slip on my shoes and go downstairs. I open my back door and walk outside. The warm weather and the dew on the grass makes everything worse. I start to walk into the woods. I walk slowly if he is still possible here, I don't scare him.

"Justin?" I ask aloud. I'm not yelling but if he's near he could hear me.

"Justin if you can hear me please say something. I'm sorry about yesterday, I'm such an idiot." I say looking in all different directions. I hear nothing. Please he can't be gone. He's everything to me. He really is.

"Please come back." I say, my throat clogs with wetness. Fuck now I'm crying in the woods, alone.

I run back to the entrance of the woods where my house is. He's gone. He's not there. I'm so dumb!

I run inside my house and slam the back door. I can't give up yet. I go upstairs and slowly close my bedroom door. I lean against it and end up sliding down it, landing softy on the ground. My cries get louder and more genuine. I hate this.

"Raegan?" A knock at my door makes me jump. I get up and quickly open the door, revealing Kale.

"Dude?" He comes in as I move back letting him. He shuts the door and comes closer to me. "You alright?"

"No." I shake my head and bite down on my lip. I don't want Kale to see me cry, but it's too late.

"What happened?" He asks. Wait a second...

"Why aren't you in school?"

"Skipped." Is all he said. "Now what's wrong?"

"I lost him, he's gone. I fucked everything up." Tears stream down my face landing on my carpet.

"Rae." He brings his arms up and I collapse in his arms. He rubs my back.

"Kale you don't understand." I say. He pulls away and looks deep in my eyes. He cares.

"What don't I understand?" He asks.

"He ran away from me. I scared him off."

"How could you possibly do that? He seemed to love being with you and-"

"Y-you don't get it." I cut him off. "I kissed him and he flipped out."

"You kissed him?!"

"Kale-"

"Since when are you gay? Wait- Raegan you barely know the kid, he could be dangerous. He could have a disease." He says quickly about to keep going.

"No. He's not dangerous but I do think he is in danger. I'm afraid he in trouble right now."

"He could be, where would he be?"

"I don't know. I went back into the woods this morning and I didn't see him. What if they found him?" Shit. I didn't want him to know.

"Who's they?"

"No one." I shake my head. "I'm so scared Kale. I miss him and I-i..." Oh no. Fuck I really do.

"You what?"

"I-I think I love him." I say to him. His eyes go wide. "No I don't think I do. I know I do." I sit on the edge of my bed and bring my hands up to my face.

"Did I lose him Kale?"

"Raegan." I look up and see him looking at me still shocked. "I'm sure he'll come back."

"Yeah if he's not in trouble right now, being held hostage?"

"You need to find him. And when you do, tell him how you feel." He sits next to me and rubs my back.

"What?" I ask looking at him. "What if I scare him again?"

"You never know Rae. You can't hide your feelings forever." He says. I nod and lay on my head on his shoulder.

"I love him Kale." I whisper. "I really hope I find him."

"You will Rae. You will."

I hope he's right. I hope I find him so I can hold him again. So I can tell him everything is okay and that he's safe again.
