Raegan's pov:

Justin and I spent the whole day relaxing and watching videos on YouTube. I've realized that he likes watching videos a lot. It entertains him.

Once my mom got home from work she came up to my room. I look up and paused the video we were currently watching.

"Hey boys." My mom smiles at us.

"Hi." I say. Justin smiles.

"Your aunt and cousin are going to be here soon." She says.

"Alright." I say. "Let me guess. You want me to keep Justin downstairs like a dog and-"

"Woah Rae wait." She cuts me off. Justin grabs my hand calming me.

"What?" I ask.

"What if we talk to both of them when they get here about Justin. We'll talk to them alone first and if they are okay with him here, we'll introduce them to Justin. Okay?" She asks. I look at Justin and he looks from my mom to me.

"Sound good?" I ask softly. He nods.

"Yeah." He says quietly. My mom nods.

"Why don't you come downstairs now Rae?" She asks.

"I'll be down in a second." I say and turn to Justin. My mom leaves my room.

"I'll come back down as soon as we finish talking to them. Okay?"

"Ok." He smiles and looks down at my lips. I blush and lean forward to connect our lips gently. He kisses back and cups my cheeks, smiling into the kiss.

"See you soon." He nods and I leave my room, going downstairs. I already see them just walking in. My mom greets them and I see Gabby look at me.

"Raegan!" She smiles and comes to hug me. She's only 13 and very small for her age. I hug back and giggle.

"Hey Gabby." She pulls away and I say hi to my aunt. My mom and I help with with their bags.

"Can we talk to you two?" My mom asks. "It's serious."

"Oh sure." I follow them to the couch and we all sit down. I take a deep breathe a look at my mom. She nods.

"Okay uhh..where do I start?" I lean back on the couch and look my aunt and little cousin.

"What is it Raegan?" My aunt asks me.

"Ok so, a few weeks ago I found someone. A special someone..." I start.

I told them both everything. To when I first found Justin in the woods, until now pretty much. I talked about where he was before this and some stuff about him as a person. I tried to make it all sound nice and not so serious. Even though it kind of was.

"So wait. He's still here right now? Like illegally?" My aunt asks. I notice Gabby looking at me weird.

"I wouldn't say illegally but I'm not letting the police come or anyone else because he will go back to that horrible place." I say. She turn to my mom.

"You are allowing a stranger to stay in this house?" My aunt asks sharply, staring my mother in the eyes.

"It's complicated right now." She says. I glance at her and pierce my lips.

"This is Justin's new home now." I say blankly. They all look at me confused.

"Excuse me?" My mom asks. I nod.

"I'm not letting Justin go to a stranger who will put him back in danger. I will keep him here forever if I have to." I say as serious as I can.

"Raegan that's not happening sweetie. It won't be long before he's out of this house." I look at my mom in shock.

"No! That's the stupid thing I've ever heard." I say to her. My aunt butts in.

"Bring him down here." She says.

"A-are you sure?" I ask.

"Yeah. I want to see him." She says.

"Fine." I abruptly get up and stomp up the stairs. Not long before he's out of this house? Not long?

I swiftly open my bedroom door and my gaze lands on Justin. He turns his head to look at me as he gets off my bed carefully. His ankle must be getting better.

"Can you come downstairs?" I ask him.

"Why?" He asks.

"My aunt want to see you." I go over and reach for his small hand lying beside his hip. He watches me intertwine our fingers. "I won't let anything happen, you know that." I say.

"Ok." He smiles a bit as he agrees. I let go of his hand and he follows me out of my room to the downstairs. I go first down the stairs and stays close behind. Once we reach to where everyone can see, Justin grabs my shirt in fear. He hates new people.

"Auntie Lori, Gabby, this is Justin." I smile at them as I pull Justin out from behind me. His hand unlatches from my shirt and I see him look at them intensely.

"Hello Justin." My aunt gets up and comes closer to us. Justin backs up so he's against my body.

"It's okay." I whisper to him. My aunt gets close to where she's maybe a foot away. She holds out her hand for Justin to shake. But Justin doesn't move.

"He's not good with new people." I say and my aunts arms cross as she puts on a not so nice face. Justin stands behind me.

"Ok then." She starts, taking a deep breathe. "I don't care that he's here. But I want him no where near my daughter." She says going back over to sit very close to Gabby.

"Come on Auntie. Justin is really sweet and caring once you get to know him. Im sure Gabby and him would get along great." I say and Justin grabs my hand, squeezing it.

"Not a chance Raegan. He's a total stranger." She says.

"No he's not to me!" I raise my voice at them. "This is his home now, he's not leaving."

"Raegan." My mom interrupts. "We never agreed to that."

"B-but he's not being taken away from me." I say. My mom stands up.

"Stop being so selfish, he's not just yours to keep." My mom says strictly. Just the thought of losing him brings tears to my eyes.

"I'm not being selfish. He has no one else but me." I say. Justin takes his other hand and wraps his arm around my waist.

"We all know Raegan he's not going to be here forever, now stop all of this because you are ruining things with your family!" I don't know what's gotten into my mom. Maybe just the fact that we have Justin here illegally.

"It's not my fault!" I yell trying my best to contain my tears. I see Gabby looking at me like she feels bad.

"You're right it's not. It's his!" My mom yells pointing at Justin. I back away from her taking Justin with me.

"No!" I yell and feel Justin let go of my hand and waist. He runs up the stairs and I hear my door slam. I let my tears fall as my mom looks at me, angry.

"Your mother is right Raegan." I hear my aunt say. Gabby tries to get up but my aunt doesn't let her. "He's a stranger to all of us and we can get in serious trouble for keeping him here."

"I don't care." I say and run upstairs and quickly running to the door of my room. It's opened a crack.
