When Patton was sure Virgil left, he turned to Logan and asked, "So when are you going to tell my brother you have a huge crush on him?"
Logan choked. "U-Uh... I won't."
"Come on, you have to! I'll even help you!"
"...you would do that for me?"
"Totally!"
"How do I even know he shares similar feelings?"
"I'm his little brother! I find out everything."
"Wh-"
Patton had gone off to Virgil's room with his phone audio recording.
"Virgil! I have a question!" Patton said excitedly.
"What's up, Patt?" Virgil asked as he took off his headphones.
"Are you ever going to ask Logan on a date?"
"W-What? I'm not interested in Logan..."
"You stuttered!"
"I-I did n-not!"
"Come on, I'm your brother. You can tell me anything! Do you like Logan or what?"
Virgil sucked in a deep breath. "...does he like me?"
"That's not the queeeesssstioooooon!" Patton said in a sing song voice.
Virgil's voice went down to a whisper. "I... Fuck. Fine. Yes. Yes, I do like Logan. But I can't just tell him. He's under so much pressure already. Also, I'm an anxious freak and I would much prefer it if he asked me out. Also, I don't think he even likes me back. He never told me he was gay or a sexuality that likes guys! How do I know there's even a slight chance we could be together?"
"He might say yes!"
"Logan's the only good friend I have other than you, Patt. I can't just ruin that by risking my gay showing too much."
"You can do it!"
"I- I can't..."
"Aww, but you guys would be so cute. I'll let you take your time though."
Virgil gave his younger brother a kind smile. "Thank you."
Patton ended the recording, internally squealing, when he went back to the kitchen where Logan was waiting. He would just need an audio recording of Logan saying he liked Virgil.
"So...?" Logan asked.
"He totally likes you!" Patton whisper shouted.
"Wait, what did he say?"
"Listen to this!"
After Patton played him the recording, Logan couldn't stop smiling. He tried to cover it with his hand, but it was obvious.
"Sooooooooo, can I tell him now?!"
"I don't know, actually. We've been friends for less than a week. I think we both need some time."
"Okay! But if neither of you asks the other out in two weeks, I'm telling!"
Logan chuckled. "Let's just make cookies, okay?"

A little while later, Virgil was still sat in bed with his headphones on, listening to one of his Spotify playlists and scrolling through Instagram.
His dad opened the door gently. "Hey, Virge?"
"Yeah, Dad?" He put his headphones around his neck.
"That kid Logan seems to like you," his dad said in a playful tone.
"Oh my God, Dad! You too? Is it gonna be Mom next?"
"Ask him out on a date! Patton is annoyed because 'it's like, so McFrickin' obvious that they wanna kiss'!" He mimicked his younger son's voice.
"Tell Patton to ask out Elliot," Virgil said with a mischievous smirk.
"Who's Elliot?"
"Ask him!"
"Patton!" the father called.
"Hm?" called Patton from the kitchen.
"Who's Elliot?"
"Uhh, no one, Dad! Don't worry about it!"
Virgil's phone vibrated, as he had received a text from Patton.
