"I AM SO SORRY!" Some random guy tells you as he tries to grab a bunch of napkins to clean the stain on your shirt.

"It's— it's fine," you say, even though you are currently boiling in anger since it's a new shirt that he ruined.

"It's not! I'll pay for it— anything! I'll pay for anything because I made a mess and— and that's not okay!"

"Chill out," you tell him, now you're not annoyed about the stain on your shirt, you're annoyed at the fact that he keeps apologizing.

He looks at you and notices your annoyance, "I'll stop apologizing. Sorry— I mean, I'm not sorry about that."

"Thank you," you say.

"Do you still want me to pay for you shirt?"

"Honestly, it doesn't matter, I want something else instead," you tell him, eyeing the cute guy in front of you.

"Which is?"

"A date with you," you say, adding a laugh.

"I cant tell if you're being serious or not," he comments.

"Hm, serious. You're really cute. What's your name?"

"I'm Shawn. You?"

"I'm Y/N."

"So... you're serious about a date?"

"Yes!"

"Wow— I'm— I can't believe—"

"You better believe it," you tell him.

"It's just that— I was coming over here to ask you out and you ended up asking me out!"

"Crazy, huh."

"Here's my number," he says, showing you his phone screen.

You take your phone out of your back pocket and type it in, sending him a testing text to see if it's real— which it is.

"You spilled some of your drink on me and you got asked out by me— you should have spilled some more, imagine, I would have proposed."

"Too late to start over?" He asks, seeming sad that he missed out on an opportunity.

"I was just kidding!"

"Eh, I was too," he says, laughing.

You smile at his adorable laugh and the grin he gives you, making you hug him.

"Woah, woah. We haven't even gone out yet and you're already hugging me?"

"Whatever."

"This date should be great. I'll make plans?" He asks, not seeming to know who's going to plan the date.

"Well, since you were originally going to ask me out then you can plan it! I expect it to be great and soon."

"Soon? People that know me know that my definition of soon is not soon."

"Just— just plan a date and I'll be ready!"

"Cool," he says, flashing you a toothy smile.

You both say your goodbyes and as you're walking away from him, you know that this guy is going to be a keeper.
