This chapter is inspired by the song 'Speak Now' by Taylor Swift!

The tacky wedding invitation is still in your hands, practically ripped up from how tight you've been holding it. You look into one of the windows of the venue, and catch a peek of the devilish bride.

She's wearing a long and elegant white dress, full of glitter and lace and drama. It quite literally matches her chaotic personality. She turns to stare in your direction, so you quickly lean down.

You hope that she doesn't see you and based on how you don't hear the window open or her screams, you assume she didn't catch you. You walk past the venue and head to the front entrance.

When a group of people start to walk in, you try to blend in with them. It works out and you manage to successfully infiltrate the wedding.

A few employees direct you to the cheap wedding chairs. You sit, uncomfortable among everyone and how they seem to be in a celebratory mood.

After what feels like hours of unbearable small talk and anticipation, the boring music begins to play.

In comes the bride first, because she wants to be first in everything to make her feel as if she's better than everyone. After her dramatic entrance, where you feel the huge urge to trip her with your leg, she's finally standing at the front of the room.

After an awkward silence, Shawn comes in. The bride had decided this untraditional entrance because as you mentioned before, the bride loved being first.

You admire Shawn and how he appears in his fit black suit. His hair is a lot shorter than the last time you saw him, and you notice that he's wearing a hint of makeup.

He's being painted like this perfect model and doll for the bride.

His smile isn't right. It's the smile he puts up for the public and his critics. Each time that you would go out on walks with him in the past, he used that smile whenever seemingly stalker-ish fans would confront him and called him out for selfies.

His solution had always been kindness. It didn't mean that some of his smiles weren't fake though.

He finally approaches his precious bride and the priest goes on to tell his usual speech.

When the moment you had finally been waiting for happens, you practically jump and yell your objection.

They had said speak now or forever hold your peace, and you knew that you would always speak up. If it meant saving Shawn. If it meant another chance with him. If it meant you could be with him again.

Shawn is shocked but when he finds out who objected, his smile finally turns into something real.

The bride throws a fit and starts to run toward me, but Shawn blocks her away.

Everyone is staring at you. Then, at Shawn who walks toward you.

He holds your hand and softly says, "let's go."

You two walk out, hand in hand, and leave the venue. Crowds of paparazzi start to gather and try to shove cameras in your faces, but you and Shawn are used to this.

You handle it with grace and after minutes of trying to get away, you two have managed to successfully find a moment of peace and privacy.

Midst the trees and plants of the secluded area, you two are standing still, trying to process what you've both just done.

You know that within minutes, there will be probably be several articles and exclusives detailing either this act of betrayal against the bride or an image of powerful love.

It depends on who speaks to the news reporters first.

You direct your first few words to Shawn, telling him, "I think I may have just ruined your public image but frankly, I'm not sorry."

"Of course you would say something like that," he says.

"You could have just ignored me. Yet, you came with me anyways. You didn't want to marry her."

He nods and says, "I didn't expect you would actually do that."

"Surprise?" You remark.

"Part of me should probably be yelling at you for how much work my publicist is going to have. Another part of me doesn't give a fuck though."

"Really?"

He tells you, "I love you. That wasn't a secret. I was dragged into this marriage because I thought that was right for my image."

"That really hurt me."

"I know. I regret it so much. I don't care anymore. I want to be with you."

"Are you sure?" You ask, because it's surprising that Shawn is sticking up for himself like this.

"Yes, I'm certain. I love you and I'm glad you were able to speak now."

He pulls you in for a hug, and you feel nice against him. It was meant to be.

"I love you too," you say. "I love you and want you with all the strings attached."

He smiles lightly, and kisses you.

You know that soon the paparazzi will find you two and this will be a hell of an issue for his image and publicity, but you enjoy the moment with him regardless.

You were thankful that you decided to speak up the moment you did.

You can finally be with Shawn.

Forever and always.
