As you're sitting on a bridge, looking over the lake, a guy sits next to you.

"What brings you here?"

He shrugs and says, "I needed to find peace and it seems like I've found it here."

"Anything wrong?"

"I felt overwhelmed," is all he says.

"This place is relaxing," you comment.

"I'm glad I found it."

He locks eyes with you for the first time in your encounter and you look into his hazel eyes that are full of serenity.

How can someone that seems to be so calm be feeling otherwise?

He clears his throat, bringing you out of that question and asks, "what are you here for?"

"I'm here for the same reason as you. When things get complicated, I need a place where I gather my thoughts in peace."

"You just sit here?"

You nod and he laughs, revealing a goofy grin of his that quickly spreads to your face.

"I have an idea."

"What is it?"

He takes his shirt off and when he does, you can't help but feel flustered at the sight of his abs. He stands up and walks to the edge of the bridge.

"The bridge isn't that high up from the water."

"Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?"

"Yes," he says, taking off his pants, "jump with me. Let's go for a swim."

You contemplate it— swimming with a stranger or watching the stranger swim. You quickly decide on the former and smile, taking your clothes off while leaving your undergarments on.

"I assume that's a yes."

"Let's jump together."

He holds your hand and after a few moments, you both jump together. The rush of adrenaline powers you to start swimming around the lake.

  "Wait for me!" He yells.

You do and he swims over to you, taking his hands into yours.

  "So, what's your name?"

"Shouldn't I be asking? You're the stranger that intruded into my peaceful space."

  "Sor—"

"I'm kidding! I'm glad that you joined me, lucky even. I'm Y/N."

"I'm Shawn," he says, giving you that grin that you've grown to enjoy since you met him.

"Where did you get the idea of swimming from?"

"The sunset is beautiful, it would be a shame to just watch it from the bridge when it could be watched from the water."

"I always come to the bridge at this time for the sunset," you say.

  "Sunset or sunrise?"

"If I come to the bridge for the sunset, what do you think?"

  "Sunrise then," he playfully remarks.

  "Shawn."

"I know, I know. I can't believe I barely discovered this place."

"It's a hard place to come across," you say.

  "How did you find it?"

"I was wandering through here and ended up finding it somehow. It was all pure luck."

"Same for me," he adds, "You know what else was pure luck?"

  "What?"

  "Coming here and finding you."

You feel your cheeks warm up and he gets closer to you, cupping your check with his hand.

  "Is this okay?" He asks.

You slowly nod and he brings his lips closer to you, making your breath hitch. You're able to smell a sweet, maple scent as his lips brush against your own. The moment is fated, as if the kiss was meant to be as soon as you both saw each other and it overcomes you with feelings of peace. The kiss is idyllic and calm against the quiet backdrop of the water. As he pulls away, your taken aback by him and he smirks, licking his lips.

"Pure luck," he says.

You're not able to say anything as you're still surprised at the fact that you both kissed.

"It's okay," he quickly adds, "if you didn't like it. I can leave."

"No, Shawn," you whisper.

You hold his hand and he looks at you, waiting for you to say more.

"I loved that."

You pull him in for another kiss and continue kissing and swimming (mainly kissing) at sunset.

Hope you enjoyed it!
