62. Ice Cream Shop (S.M)

You enter an ice cream shop, hoping to take your mind off of everything happening by having a sweet dish of ice cream. When you turn to an employee to order, you're taken aback by his looks and can't help biting your lip, knowing that his looks had just saved your entire day.

  He asks for your order and you reply, adding that he quickly needs to get it ready because you're in a rush. He nods and while he's making your order, you find out his name through his name tag and ask him a few questions.

  When he returns the questions, you delightfully answer and don't forget to add in a few compliments. After all, the guy is cute and you don't want to miss the chance to flirt with him.

  The moment he tells you his age, you're surprised and don't refrain from asking a question you were wondering.

  "Why are you working at an ice cream shop? You're 21, shouldn't you be working somewhere more... I don't know, refined?"

  He laughs at your question and responds, "I'm working here in the meantime while I get my career as a singer up and running."

  "A singer?" You ask.

  You smirk at the thought of his response and he responds, "yes, I recently landed a record deal but I haven't had my breakthrough yet."

  "How come?"

  "I don't know," he tells you. "Why do you think?"

  "I guess not everyone is lucky."

  "Unfortunately," he remarks.

  "Hey, don't worry," you tell him. "You never know! Maybe you'll become a worldwide known singer that breaks records and always wins awards!"

  "I doubt it," he sheepishly says.

  "It's only matter of time," and your eyes meet his, prompting you to say, "don't lose hope."

   Your eyes are locked with his and though it seems like the stare is unbreakable, he breaks it after a moment by saying, "your order is ready."

  He hands you the dish and you say, "no, I think you need it more than I do."

  "You're serious?"

  "Yes," you respond.

  "Thank you!" He happily yells, adding, "we aren't allowed to eat on the job and I've been having such a bad day, with my failed music and such, but you just saved it."

  "Did I save it or did the ice cream save it?"

  "Both," he responds, grinning.

  You laugh and say, "I'm glad that I could help. I thought that I was having a bad day but clearly, I was wrong."

  He shrugs and tells you, "everyone has bad days. It was lucky that we got both to be here for each other on our bad days."

  You laugh when you see him smirk, telling him, "you're something else."

  He grabs an extra spoon from a tray and hands it to you, saying, "let's eat this sundae together."

  "Well, I won't say no to that." 

  As you're both eating ice cream, you remember that you were supposed to be on your way to an appointment but you don't care, because in this moment, all you care about is Shawn.

Based on the way he looks at you, you know that he feels the same way which is why, when you lean in to kiss him, he doesn't object. The kiss tastes like the ice cream you both had just eaten but you don't care because you're kissing him and he's kissing you.

  When he pulls away, he remarks, "I have always hated working but not anymore. If it wasn't for this job, I wouldn't have met you."

You smile and this time he leans in, initiating another ice cream flavored kiss.

  The kiss was sweet, just like him, and your rotten day had turned into a rather sweet one.
