32. Pianos And Proposals (S.M)

"It's almost time!" You exclaim excitedly as Shawn comes towards you.

"I can't believe it. It's finally happening!"

Shawn hugs you and lifts you into the air, making you laugh and kiss each other.

"I love you so much," he says.

"I love you too. Now let's go announce the album!"

Shawn nods his head and you both walk over to the set where the cover art of the album is the backdrop.

"Alright," the camera director announces. "In 3.... 2.... 1...."

"Hi! As you know, I'm Shawn Mendes!"

"And I'm Y/N L/N!"

"I know you guys have been so anxious about when my album will be released and-"

"And it didn't help when all you kept saying was 'soon', Shawn!"

Shawn laughs and continues, "Anyways, I'd like to announce that my album will be coming out on May 25th and it will be self titled! The wait is almost over!"

You smile beside him and you add, "I know I'm glad that the wait is over! He hasn't let me listen to the album yet! I'm just as anxious and excited as you guys are."

"Well, would you like to hear one of the songs, Y/N?"

He didn't tell me he was going to release one of the songs during the livestream.

You nervously smile and ask, "what song, Shawn?"

"I'd like to play it for you because I wrote it for you, Y/N. Alright.... this song is called Try My Best."

Shawn is handed his guitar and he begins strumming it, gently playing his guitar. As he begins singing, your mouth drops in surprise and he sings more, seeming happier and happier as he continues. The piano begins to kick in with its sound and you really enjoy the song along with the fact that he wrote it for you.

As he finishes singing, you begin crying but you turn around as you don't want the fans to get full sight of it.

"Y/N..."

You wipe at your tears, turning around and when you spot him kneeling down, you start to cry again.

"Y/N, ever since the day I met you, I knew that there was something special about you. And as we've dated for 3 years now, I realize that it's not one thing that's special about you... it's everything. I love you so much and as my third album is coming up, I knew this was the time to propose to you. You've been with me through everything... good and bad. So I wanted to ask... Y/N, will you marry me?"

"Shawn, YES YES YES!"

He places the ring around your finger and you smile as you both hug each other, then kissing.

"You're not mad that I did this in front of the camera with like, a million people watching?"

"No, no. I mean, the fans have been with you through everything and have supported our relationship so much, it's like they've become family and family usually sees these moments right?"

"Right. By the way, I invited your family here."

You turn around again and your family rushes toward you to all hug you.

"Congrats!" "Oh, congrats! It was about time!" "I knew he was planning this!" "Congratulations!"

Your family hugs Shawn also and you're both brought together.

"The camera!" Someone suddenly yells.

"Oh, right! Well, Mendes Army, thanks for supporting me through everything and I can't believe I'm getting married! Our marriage ceremony and party will be soon!" Shawn eagerly says into the camera and with that, the camera is shut off by the cameraman.

"I love you so so so much!" You tell Shawn.

"And I love you toooooooo. To infinity... no backsies!"

You smile as you await the new journey that you and Shawn will be taken on with your marriage. You may not know what's to come but you do know that you're going to love it all.
