23. Surprise Gone Wrong (S.M)

"Shawn, I have a surprise for you!"

Shawn comes over to you and questioningly looks over you, trying to find the answer.

"Meet our new dog!"

"Dog..?"

The new dog rushes over to your side, snuggling beside your leg and barks at Shawn.

"Yeah, dog. You don't like her?"

"Well I do but—"

"Then nothing to worry about! I didn't choose a name yet because I wanted you to have a say. What should we name her?"

"Dogs—"

"Dogs?" You laugh at his response and say, "that's a terrible name."

"That's not what I meant—"

"Then say what you mean, Shawn!"

"I'm all—"

"Just get to the point," you interrupt him.

"I'm aller—"

"I'm waiting," you say.

"I'mallergictodogs."

"You're what?"

"I'mallergictodogs!"

"Say it slowly," you scold him.

"I AM ALLERGIC TO DOGS!"

"Oh... oh. Well, why didn't you say so?!"

"I thought you already knew," he weakly argues.

"I suppose we can take this dog back and get a cat," you suggest, heartbroken as you've already grown attached to the dog.

Shawn seems to notice your sadness in the suggestion and says, "No . We can keep her for you. I'll just have to be careful... I don't know how but—"

"OH, THANK YOU SHAWN," you interrupt him once again, then kissing his cheek.

He smiles and tells you, "anything for you, Y/N."

"You're sure though?"

He hesitantly nods his head and this time, you kiss him on the lips.

"Well, maybe another kiss so I can be fully sure about this," he says.

You kiss him again and he gives you a dazzling smile. You hug him and your dog jumps onto your lap, licking your cheek. Shawn begins to sneeze a bit and his smile begins to falter.

"I am really looking forward to having allergies all the time," he sarcastically comments.

"Aw, remember you agreed to letting her stay," you remind him.

"Yeah, I did," he says, already seeming to regret it.

"She's going to be a great addition to our family," you tell him.

"I know," he says. "Hopefully we can have a human form added to our family though."

You smile, happy that Shawn is on the same page.
