The wolves were scattered for the evening, some already off to bed and others doing mild chores around the cabin. Rain pounded against the roof, sending a hum through the pack's home. It helped mask every sound, even the clink and scrub of the Alpha washing what remained of the dishes. Arms silently came around her and Jrasic placed a surprise kiss on her cheek. "There you are," he murmured, breathing in her scent.

Terra's grip tightened on the plate but she instantly relaxed and turned her head. "I didn't know you were looking for me," she said rinsing the plate and adding it to the drying rack. She leaned over to turn the water off without pulling from him.

Jrasic rested his head on top hers. "Well I didn't expect to find you in the kitchen of all places."

"I was helping out," Terra told him. She turned in his grasp to face him instead. "We can't have Lynea doing dishes every night."

"I'm sure she appreciates that," Jrasic said. He placed a kiss on her forehead and his gaze found the bandage on her arm. "How is it?"

Terra put a hand against his cheek and smiled easily. "It's healing. With the full moon nearing, it'll be gone soon." She dropped her hand to his shoulder. "I'll have a lot more than a cut to worry about in the future."

"Maybe," Jrasic said. "But we'll make it through that, too."

Terra laughed softly. "Yeah, but you don't have to worry about every little scrape."

"I know." Jrasic brought a hand up and ran the back of his fingers against her cheek. "You can handle yourself."

"Some help is always nice," she murmured. Terra poked him gently in the side and slipped out of his grasp. She took up her towel and smacked him gently with it before, she returned it to its drawer.

Jrasic reached out for her again and lightly took her arm, kissing her swiftly. "Anything you need."

She pursed her lips as if in thought and tipped her head to the side. "I could always use a butler," she whispered. "Someone to...take my coat."

"Oh really?" Jrasic said around a laugh. "Just to take your coat?"

"Well," Terra said dropping her voice to a whisper. She leaned up on her toes with her mouth beside his ear. "Perhaps you could take a few other pieces of clothing off, too."

"Anything you want," Jrasic said and slid his hands along her side, fingers straying beneath the lip of her shirt.

Terra slid her arms around his neck and tipped her head back. "So, you could carry me up and down the stairs as well?"

"I could make sure your feet never touch the ground," he said and wrapped his arms around her, hoisting her off the floor and against the counter.

A laugh escaped her and Terra leaned her head down to his. "That sounds wonderful," she whispered.
