Once the wolves had brought their own minor possessions into the building, the Hunters started with everything else. A good number of the pack helped move things, being careful with the new furniture. The construction dust cleared as they moved about and placed furniture against the newly painted walls.

The twins helped to unload the kitchen supplies. The clean and sturdy cabinets were a strong contrast to what they had in the cabin. Once the Hunters were mostly done, a few mentioning that they had a couple more things for the morning, the pack was left on their own.

While the building had a good deal of space, few of them spread out very far, and Terra took the room closest to the main entrance. The Hunters said they were modifying the back door to be more 'wolf accessible' for them, but it would wait for the morning. With everyone settled and a meager dinner made, Terra sat on one of the couches in the large living space. She was asleep in moments.

A few hours later, before daylight even had a chance, she woke from a nightmare with the lingering scent of Jake in the room. The Alpha stood from a bed and wandered back to the living room as quietly as possible. Looking out through the windows from the couch, she could see the Compound lights, but the trees were shrouded in darkness. Dressed in an oversized hoodie, she was flooded with Jrasic's scent and, in the silence of early morning, started to cry. She kept the fabric pressed up to her face to muffle the sounds as best she could.

Footsteps alerted her of another's presence before Lynea rounded the hall coming from the dining room. She said nothing until she paused at Terra's side, looking out the window as well.

"Tea?" she asked and offered her own mug to the Alpha.

Terra took a slow breath in and sniffed. She waved off the tea and tucked her legs up to her chest. She tried to clear her throat then asked, "Did I wake you?"

"No. Can't exactly sleep either." Lynea hovered by the couch's arm, leaning a hip against it.

Terra sniffled again and nodded out to the horizon, light just barely visible. "Probably an hour until sunrise anyways."

"Because who needs sleep," Lynea mumbled. She sipped at her mug but let her gaze wander to Terra. "We'll be okay, you know."

Terra sighed and her fingers slipped through her hair. "I'm not always sure." She reached beneath the hoodie and pulled out her pendant. "What do you think she'll do to him?"

"I don't know," Lynea admitted and scooted onto the couch's arm. "He's alive though. She wouldn't kill him."

"That might be worse." Terra clutched the pendant and choked back another sob.

Lynea let out a slow breath. "He'll pull through," she insisted. "Whatever's happening. You know that."

"Or maybe I'll just end up joining him?" Terra asked in a whisper. She lowered her knees and wiped at her eyes again as she stood. "I might as well make coffee," she muttered.
