"So Neji-chan, What do you think I've done now?" Miwa asks quietly as she glances up at the boy walking next to her, he hums loudly and continues looking forward.
"I'm not entirely too sure, but I won't be leaving you alone in that Office" Neji replies coolly as he tries to mask his annoyance of the summons "Especially if it's got anything to do with Sakura, the Hokage would have to kill me to get me to leave you alone" Miwa smiles at him happily and she grabs his hand and holds it tightly in hers.
"Thank you" She breathes out her reply, Neji nods in response.
There was no way Neji would allow Miwa to be in the Hokage's office on her own, since the Hokage some kind of vendetta on his girl. The summons didn't explain as to why she was to head over to the Hokage's office and not knowing why worried Neji, especially since the Hokage had been trying to blame Miwa for the missing ninjas.
However that's not why Neji was pissed, he is angry because he and Miwa were having a lovely picnic in the woods at a small pond. They were on a date and Neji had found enough courage to plan it and then ask her to be his girlfriend since he hadn't gotten round to doing it when he confessed his feelings to her.
"Hey have you seen Shikamaru lately?" Miwa asks loudly as they turned a corner and saw the Hokage building at the end of the street.
Neji pauses for a moment as he thinks about the last he saw their friend "Ah! Yes he's been with Chouji and Asuma-sensei. He's been comforting Chouji with the Ino situation" Miwa frowns slightly as Ino was brought up in the conversation.
"Yeah, I just hope this meeting has nothing to do with the last ones about them lot being missing" Miwa sighs tiredly and rubs her eyes with her free hand, Neji smiles softly at her and tightens the grip on her hand.
Once they finally got to the bottom of the street they slowly made their way to the doors of the building, ignoring other shinobi's as they stared funny at Miwa. They climbed up the stairs and walked down the halls until they stopped in front of the Hokage's Office.
Miwa took a deep breath and opened the door, for once Neji didn't mutter about her poor manners towards others. As they both walked into the room they had been surprised to see Naruto and Jiriaya standing there looking at the pair (Neji wasn't surprised to see Sakura there).
Clearing her throat "You summoned me" Miwa says bluntly and emotionless, her eyes void of any emotion for the Hokage to see. Neji sighed as he noticed and grumbled a few curses about the Hokage for being the reason for Miwa's cold state.
Naruto blinked in surprise as he as Miwa's cold demeanour, last he saw her she was bright and bubbly but she seemed like a different person in front of the Hokage. Jiriaya watch as Naruto moved forward slightly and opened his mouth to say something until Jiriaya placed a hand on his shoulder and shook his head at him.
"Yes I did" Tsunade replies with just as much coldness, her eyes flicker over onto Neji and scowls "This a Team 7 meeting only, Neji you may leave" When Neji showed no signs of moving, Tsunade growls angrily at him "Now!"
Neji blinks at her unfazed before turning to Miwa "I'll be right outside" He tells her lightly and kisses her forehead, he then turns to the Hokage "Just remember Lady Hokage if you do something to her you'll have the whole Hyuga Clan onto you as well as the Nara" He says threateningly before turning his heel and walking out the door.
Naruto looks at Miwa dumbfounded, she seemed so different from the last time he saw her. Her once bright eyes now seemed to be tired, the silly aura that surrounded her seemed to only show when Neji was around. He wondered what had happened to his friend while he had been away, he thought maybe the village had been treating her badly but he quickly got rid of those thoughts as his village wouldn't do that to her, would they?
