Chapter Twenty-Five

Neji's POV

"I don't think there will be any training later, Lady Hinata" I tell her as I look up at the blackened clouds, Hinata looks over my shoulder and up at the sky.

"Yeah, looks like the storm's finally arrived" She replies, then looks at Neji "Isn't Miwa still with Yamanaka-san for another five minutes? Why are you still here?" I looks down at her

"It will start raining when she gets out, so she'll walk here. It's not that far" I says crossing my arms, glaring at the clouds lightly "She'll be soaking wet, so would it be alright if she borrowed some of your clothes, Lady Hinata?"

Hinata looks at her older cousin and smiles slightly before nodding her head "Yes of course" I look at her for a few minutes before smiling slightly.

"Thank you Hinata" Neji whispers quietly, Hinata nods once more already knowing he wasn't talking about the clothes.

"No problem big brother Neji" She replies back softly, before turning away and walking further into the Hyuga complex, leaving me alone in the middle of the court yard, glaring at the clouds.

I sit down in the middle by the tree, looking at the compound gates, as I wait for Miwa. That's when the rain hit, I let out a chuckle. She'll be here any minute now. I quickly shift to the compound and under shelter. A loud bang of thunder hit the village followed by lightening, not long after another bang echoes across the village, I sit here waiting for the flash.

I don't think that was thunder...

I frown when it never comes. Miwa isn't here yet, I let out a deep sigh, whatever that bang was Miwa was probably already there investigating. What a pain she is.

I step out into the rain once again, making my way to the gates of the compound. Once I'm there I quickly open and walk out them, heading down the street. I'm not going to rush. Miwa probably blew up something again, plus I need to think of a reason to get her out of trouble. She's just been released and Tsunade will find anything to put here back in a cell without breaking her word against Inoichi.

I was rounding a corner when I heard a voice screaming "NEJI-CHAN~!" I stop walking when I realise who was calling for help. I can no longer feel the cold rain on my body, my blood was on fire as I started running towards her voice.

Who ever it is, I'll kill them!

Once I get onto the street where I heard Miwa I hear her reply to her captor "Just you wait until my Neji-chan gets here" I can hear the cockiness in her voice, the man chuckles at her. I frown darkly, only I am allowed to laugh at her idiocy "Cause he will beat your ass" He chuckles again and leans down to her ear.

That it I'll fucking decapitate him..

"Let's just wait and see" Miwa says, I can hear her smirk from hear. I see her wince in pain, I glance down to her neck to see the kunai at her neck.

Byakugan

"Miwa!" I yell as I side kick the guy, who drops the Kunai as I collide with him sending him into a wall. I jump to my feet and hug Miwa, who hugs me back tightly. "Are you okay you're not hurt are you?" I ask pulling away slightly, grabbing her face and checking it for injuries.

"Nope! I'm fine!" She says smiling brightly, I narrow my eyes and glance down to her neck which she was hiding with her hand but I could see the blood seep through.

"Hn" I said turning around and walking towards the guy who slowly started to get up "Eight trigrams 4 palms" I mutter as I slam my hands into his chest, legs and arms, making him stagger back into the wall.

"8 Palms!" I hit him again in the same places only this time harder, not giving him a chance to defend his-self. I could feel the dark aura cover me, as I glare down harshly at the intruder who tried to get up again.

"16 palms" I say as I go to hit him but he moves to the side and kicks my legs knocking me to the ground, I growl quietly as I get up on my feet.

Instead of using up my chakra, I curl my hand into a fist and aim for the middle of this guys face. I smile as my first punch hits the bridge of his nose, making a loud crack, my second punch hits him in the mouth. I watch as he stumbles back slightly, as he glares darkly at me then spitting the blood in his mouth onto the dusty ground

He stands straight, eyes bulging with rage, as he stares at me, looking start into my eyes "Oh I'm going to kill you kid" He sneers evilly, before he strikes.

He lunges for me, very fast, I move to the side slightly as I try to avoid his hit. Instead his elbow slams into my stomach, then another hit this time with his fist in my face and chest before he knocks me to my feet again making me land on my back.

Come on Neji! Get it together already! Do it for Miwa.

He walks towards me as I try to sit myself up, once he is standing in front of me, he raises his foot and kicks me in the chest. The pain ripples across my chest as he does it a second time, then a third, fourth and a fifth time.

However this time the blow felt too sluggish, I knew the second the launched towards me. Smirking, I quickly roll to my left leaving my opponent to hit the ground instead. He lets out a scream of pain, as he hold onto his hand tightly, I quickly make my move and send a hit to his ribs, ignoring the ripples of pain through my chest. 

Byakugan.

He quickly recovers, then goes to give me another hit, but before he reaches me I duck down and swipe my left leg under his legs. The guy falls back, and I send another 3 hits before he made contact with the ground, this time I locked off his chakra points, paralizing him. I hunch over as I breath heavily, still tired from training from earlier. I hear the guy shuffle around, I look up and my eyes widen in shock.

He was standing up and this time, he had a two kunai's in his hands. I watched as he slowly walked towards me, smirking evilly knowing that he was going to win this fight. I closed my eyes.

THUMP

My eyes snap open as I look down to the ground to see him passed out face first into the ground. I look up again and see Miwa standing behind him, with her hand in the air, I squint my eyes as I look at what was in it.

"Really Miwa? A brick?" She glares and narrows her eyes at me.

"What? No thank you? Geez Neji-chan I'm not always going to be here to save you" Miwa says as she crosses her arms after dropping the brick, I blink a few times before I throw my arms around her.

"Don't scare me like that again Miwa" I tell her sternly, but I think she could hear the crack in my voice as I hold her tighter. Once I pull away, I pull out some bandages from my kunai pouch and I wrap it around her neck "This should do till we get you to the hospital" She smiles at me before turning around and kicking the guy in the head.

"Next time leave my Neji-chan alone shithead" She mumbles angrily, as she bends down and ties his hands and legs together. She stands up and smiles at me, she opens her mouth to say something until someone interrupts her.

"Hey you alright over here?" We both look up to see ANBU, I frown slighty. Why are they here? "Is that one of the intruders?" One of them asks again.

"Yeah and he was a pain in my neck, see I got the proof" Miwa yells out over the rain, as she points to her neck.

"Where are the others and the Uchiha?"

"What do you mean? Miwa is right here" they all shake their heads

"No the other one, Sasuke and other four who broke him out"

"WHAT! CAN ANYONE IN THE LEAF DO THEIR JOB PROPERLY? FIRST THE HOKAGE AND NOW THE ANBU?" I turn around and look at Miwa in horror.

"And I'm going to be the blamed for this" Miwa says as she pulls on her wet hair, then she points at the ANBU "This is all your faults" She says plainly before she walks off and heads to the Hyuga compound.

"This is on you and that stupid old Hokage! I ain't taking the blame for this one!"
