Today, being one of the main days of Diwali, meant that I had to wake up quite early. And I did! I woke up at around 6:30AM and took a nice hair bath after applying the fragrant herbal paste.

Soon everyone in my family got ready and we went to the temple which turns into a hangout spot for all college-goers around my area during Diwali. Thankfully, we didn't bump into anyone today. But do I really want to avoid people? I used to hate suddenly meeting someone unexpectedly but now I'm kinda okay with it. It sort of feels nice that there is someone who recognises you and might come up to just greet you.

We then came back home by 9AM and I spent most of my day watching quite a lot of vids that I had put under my watch later section but never really watched.

Kristen came over at around 3PM and we had a great time making a Rangoli. And no, she ditched the idea of making a live and I'm really glad that she did. We first filled the entire board with dots- her idea. Then we made separate outlines from different reference pictures. At one point I knocked over some colour due to misjudgement and had to clean that up. Then we started filling colours and after 2 and a half hours (including a tea break), we finished our rangoli and decked it up with diyas! It was Kristen's first time making a rangoli and she did a pretty good job.

We had some other guests over and around half an hour later, everyone left and dad came home.

We quickly got dressed and went to Uncle D's house for a customary Diwali celebration. It used to be a day where my paternal grandmother would perform a puja for every member of the family but now, even though she is no more, we still meet as a family and spend some time together.

I spoke to the other members of the family (including Aunt P's fam) about our lives, sangeet preps and a lot of other hilarious things. I have a practice session with Pamela on Monday and by the looks of it, she's probably going to give me some heavy steps. It's unfortunate that Parker won't be coming for the Sangeet Ceremony due to his exams. But I hope he doesn't get too distracted and does well in his exams. We also ate poha (a flat rice savoury dish) for dinner, which is a customary tradition atleast in my family. It's what my grandmother wanted and that's what we're going to continue with.

Grandad had given us an envelope like he does almost every year. We checked the envelope when we came back home and goddamn that's a lot of money. I feel bad for accepting this now. I can't believe grandad gave away so much of his hard earned money. We really don't deserve it. I honestly want to do something for him with that money.

I saw the final episode of Bon Voyage Season 3. As expected, it was a very emotion- heavy episode. I guess the theme for this year's Bon Voyage was aptly kept as 'Love Yourself' because the members had to buy gifts for themselves as well as write letters to themselves instead of each other unlike previous times.

The episode began with the members writing the letters. Then they revealed the gifts they got for themselves. I already knew what Jungkook, RM and Jimin got for themselves (drinks, plate and snow globes). JHope also bought a snow globe for himself while V invested in two rings that he planned to wear during their world tour (which he did!). Jin's gift was the funniest. He got a lion shaped door knock so that he can hang it outside his room (except JHope and Jimin, they all have separate rooms now) and whoever wants to enter can ask permission by knocking. Lol.

Then they all got ready for the special dinner. All of them had some pretty interesting outfits. V's was damn cool tho. You can tell that he really does like fashion. They sang quite a lot of songs while on their way to the special dinner place. It felt great listening to these people sing in the car. It's exactly what I imagine going on a road trip with friends would look like.

They reached the special dinner place and were really in for a surprise. The cast had planned for them to have a dinner on literally a hanging platform. No kidding. I had no idea something like this even existed. Must have cost them a bomb to arrange something like this. It's actually quite a cool and daring concept and I for one wouldn't really mind experiencing it once in my lifetime.
