Today was a relatively chill day. We literally had zero plans, which is something unusual because dad usually plans out each and every day of our trips.
Anyways, we had a late/lazy start to our day. We were supposed to go to a nearby garden but it was apparently too cold to be outside in the morning.
Alex, the neighbour kids and I played quite a few rounds of ludo and snakes and ladders to pass our time afterwhich we all got ready and left for Old Delhi. Yep, we decided that we'll probably be able to recognise Old Delhi's charm if we have some locals along with us.
We took the metro and landed up at a different station than yesterday. We had to go through the super crowded Meena Bazar, which is apparently known for pickpocketing and all that good stuff.
Old Delhi, or just whatever place I was in, is definitely not a place you want to explore alone. You need at least one more person with you. A group is much better. If you can manage not to lose sight of each other.
After walking quite a bit, we went to a typical Mughlai place for lunch. With the hype that was created around it, I expected quite a lot from this place but to be completely honest, the location/interior was a put off. I knew we would be frequenting such places during this trip but I just wasn't ready for that day to be today.
The food was good tho so that's nice. You don't get boneless chicken in such places so it limits my options but whatever I ate was nice. Would I like to go to that place once again? Probably not.
We stopped to have some sweets (that place has SO MANY sweets!) and then headed back to our area. But instead of going back home, we went to the shopping place in that area and pretty much spent the entire evening there. I don't really like shopping with others because I'm really really choosy and might end up buying nothing in one shopping turn, which might possibly off some fellow shoppers. I would love to go shopping by myself but I currently don't have enough bank balance to do that. :P
We ate ice cream on our way back home and relaxed for quite some hours thereafter. Ofcourse our day ended with playing cards.
I feel like today was a breather for the next couple of days.
Note/Reminder to myself- I still haven't heard and watched RM's Mono, Waste It On Me MV and RM's song on Drunken Tiger's album. Catch up on all these when you have time.
