YG is going to debut a new 6 member boy group from among the Treasure Box trainees! And the first member is Yoonbin! Yaaaaaay! I'm so happy for him! His rap flow is too good! They're going reveal a member each every day so I'm hoping that this time Mashiho is one of the members to debut.
There is this new Economic Society that has been formed out of the Economic major (as well as some minor) students and today was their first event. I reached college quite early, met up with a couple of my friends who are part of the core committee and waited for the event to start.
Which took quite some time. The event was supposed to start at 11:30AM but since there were lesser number of audience members than committee members, we had to wait until they pulled the crowd from somewhere. I was okay with it tho. The book that I am currently reading just got interesting so I invested my time in reading it.
The event finally began at around 12:15PM and it was good. We witnessed a part of the discussion that was held at the World Economic Forum which was followed by a discussion. It would have been better of only interested students were there in the room. I didn't really have any inputs to put in but I'd attend one more of these sessions if given the chance to do so.
After the event, I read quite a lot of pages of my current book while waiting for Kristen and Paul to finish with their committee meeting. It went on for a good half an hour. Then we had lunch together afterwhich I had the internship training session. It ended up happening, thankfully. We learnt about three candle sticks and now we have been given a task of finding charts where we can spot these candle sticks.
So there is this soft skills session that has started from last week for all those applying for placements. This was happening in batches and Kristen was part of today's batch. After my internship class, I called her up to see if she had finished with her's as well but apparently theirs hadn't even started.
I went up to meet her and the others and that's when the professor arrived and Kristen fortunately asked me to attend the class with her. Fortunately because the class was too good! Do you remember I spoke about this Prof Heyes, one of the coolest professors we've had? I mentioned him in one my 2016 chaps. These soft skills lectures are going to be conducted by him.
In the beginning he was kinda pissed because only 12 out of 25 students were present. But he ultimately decided to conduct a short GD with us and give us some pointers. He made us sit in a semi circle and gave the topic "Is India ready to go cashless?". The only instruction he gave us was to imagine that he isn't there in the room.
And the GD was good. The people present today were more or less the sincere students so Prof. Heyes liked our batch a lot. He said it was much better compared to the last batch. Even though this isn't my official batch, I felt good nonetheless. Maybe I'll try and switch to this group.
Over all today was a good day. It was not like my normal days in college but there was quite a lot of learning involved which is good.
