Date Night

It was 7:30 & Tina was getting ready. Queenie was 'helping'

"Ooh!! Teen, look!!" Queenie held up a revealing pink dress she had gotten her sister last Christmas "it's perfect!!! Wear it!! Oh, it's gorgeous!!"

"Then keep it" Tina declared.

"Oh, really!!! Thanks Teen!!!" Queenie squealed & left the room.

"Thanks for helping" Tina muttered under her breath, throwing another article of clothing out of her closet.

Rummaging through her closet, Tina finally found the right ensemble.

It was a black, slight (very slight) figure hugging, dress. It was dotted with silver sequins & had a light intricate pattern. At the hem there was sheer & cut out diamonds, near the knees.

It was perfect.

Pop!

At 8:02, Jayden apparated into the Goldstein living room, startling Newt & Tina.

"MERLIN'S BEARD!!" Newt exclaimed, dropping his book & losing his page "Oh no!! My page!! Why?!" He was visibly very upset.

"Haha!! Oh, Newt!! No one cares about books these days anyway?!" Jayden laughed "We have something new & modern!! We have radios now!!!"

"They were introduced 6 years ago!! Not. New." The magizoologist snapped back.

"God, Jay. Apologise." Tina instructed.

"Fine, sorry" Jayden sighed.

"You're late." Tina pointed out "2 minutes"

"I'm sorry!!" Jayden started to explain "A girl appeared at my door with a knife & said 'you'll never arrive at 8' I had to fight her, dammit!"

"Whatever, let me get my purse & let's go" Tina rolled her eyes

"Psst! Hey, hey, Newt!!" A soft voice whispered "over here!"

Queenie was beckoning the wizard to the kitchen.

"Have fun, take care of her" Newt remarked curtly "take her home by 10:30"

"Yes, Sir" Jayden teased "I'll have your daughter home by then"

Unknowingly copying Tina, Newt rolled his eyes & transitioned to the kitchen.

"Where are you taking me, Jay?" Tina groaned "we've been walking for ages!"

"Here we are" Jayden smiled quirkily.

Tina gasped loudly, there in all its glory was....

Starbucks.

"Oh Jay!! It's- it's beautiful!!!" Tina felt herself tear up.

"C'mon Tina, let's go" Jayden's eyes glazed over.

He saw Tina in a new light. She was different, she was in awe. He noticed things he never did before. Her short, brown, wavy hair was fluffy & airy. Her eyes were a beautiful, deep, rich chocolatey brown. Her lips were natural coloured & plump. Jayden felt something come over him. Was it lust? Was it love? Was it temporary? Was it to be forevermore? Shaking these thoughts away, Jayden leaned over & kissed Tina.

That was the first time he really kissed Porpentina Esther Goldstein.

And he loved it.
