Jiro has been training for a month and a half, the two month time limit set by his spirit, Coyote, is on the come up. And a battle is soon foreseeable.
SHURUI: Jirrrrro. As we finish up your training, your traits have Definitely improved. With your tactical use and precision greatly increasing.
HOKKY: Boy, you have gained strength, Durability, and speed as well. So now it is time to combine all of that, into spirit attacks.
JIRO: Spirit attacks, so its time for that, eh? I've been waiting for this. To bring out a bit of my spirits power into battle. LETS DO THIS.
HOKKY: Now, I'm sure your wondering why we've brought you here blindfolded. But, this will surely surprise you. Here, like an enemy, you will learn his true power in battle, and in the moment. TAKE IT OFF, YOUNG JIRO!
JIRO: *undoes blindfold* O...OH MYYYYY SWEEEETT CORN CAKE! THATS, A BIG ROCK!
SHURUI: Ha Ha haaaa. This here, Jiro, is a piece of Mount Fuji, me and Sensei broke it off this morning before we woke you up. We made it as big as possible. It's about as big as a two story house.
HOKKY: In order for you to bring out your spirit of coyote into battle, you need trust. As you have said. And I immediately thought of making it as challenging as possible. So for sure we know that you are capable of using it freely.
JIRO: So, you want me to break it? With a punch, or a kick?
HOKKY: No, Jirrrro. Slice the rock. Slice it, in half.
JIRO: Wha-, WHAT? Well, don't I need a sword!
SHURUI: Jiro, as we've said before, your spirit uses fang and slash as it's attacks. Not punches or kicks. It is a very tactical one. But still, can defeat power and speed.
HOKKY: Young Jiro, close your eyes. And rush towards this rock confidently, using your hand, bend your fingers back with your palm sticking out and slash it in front of you, this should create a strong slice, not slicing all of the rock, for you are too weak for that.
JIRO: Alright. I'll give it a shot. (I can do this, I can do this, I can do this!) HERE I COMEEE, SLASSSHHHHHH!
Jiro swiped his hand just as told, and lands in front of the boulder.
JIRO: *looks in front of him* Uhhh, Sensei Hokky, nothing happened.
HOKKY: So go back, TRUST IT MORE, use it, confidently.
JIRO: *walks back to starting spot* (Deep breathe, in, and out, in, and out. I...CAN...DO THISSS!)
Jiro runs at the rock even faster, slashing even faster. Landing in front of it. He looks up again.
JIRO: Wha-, WHY AM I DOING NOTHING!
SHURUI: Jiro, your surely not trusting it, you must trust, Jiro, Think to yourself, are you allowing the spirit to help you? Or are you going at it by yourself.
HOKKY: Jiro, don't doubt yourself. Keep going. Over and over again.
JIRO: There's no use...I'm a failure...as much as I want this to work. I'm gonna keep failing.
HOKKY: *starts walking away* pshhht. Keep doubting yourself and you'll never become one with your spirit. A waste, your right. Let's go Shurui. Leave him here.
SHURUI: (Sensei sure is playing with Jiros mind here, he's like that). Alright, I'm coming. *walks away as well*
JIRO: mmmmm, a failure, eh....
FLASHBACK
MRS K: My baby boy, Jiro!! I can't believe it! You aced your test, for mama! I can't believe you did! Your not the failure I thought you were!
KID JIRO: Wha, failure? Mom. You think I'm a failure?
MRS K: No, no honey I didn't mean it like that!
I know your not a failure mommy knows!
KID JIRO: *runs to room* NO MOM, IM A FAILURE, LIKE YOU SAID.
PRESENT
JIRO: *walks back to starting point*, I'm a failure, eh, Sensei Hokky. I'm a failure? *deep breathe. (come on, smooth, slow, take it steady, don't tense up my body, I can do th-, no. We can do this, Coyote, we can do this).
COYOTE: Jiro, We can do this.
Jiro runs towards the boulder at such a perfect and faster pace then last attempt, and slashes his hand at an unbelievable speed across him.
JIRO: SPEEEDDYYYYYY, SLASSHHHHHH!!!!!! *lands next to rock instead of in front of it*
Hokky and Shurui look behind them, Jiro however. Doesn't move a muscle. The rock was cut, but, in half.
HOKKY: Hm hm hmm. He did it, didn't he?
SHURUI: WAIT A MI- THE MOUNTAIN, NOT EVEN THE ROCK, THE MOUNTAIN!
Hokky looks closer after hearing what Shurui said, the mountain behind the boulder also cut in half, but thankfully they were high up on Mount Fuji, not too much fell off.
HOKKY: *at a loss for words*, is this, this..... the power of the prophet???
JIRO: Sensei Hokky, Teach me more, more moves.
HOKKY: *grins* Hm hmm hmmmm. Yes, I will.
Hokky now starts the biggest part of training with Jiro, teaching him multiple moves with his spirit. But, somewhere else, Another spirit was getting stronger.
ON TOP OF THE HAWKS VOLCANO
TAKA: Yes Yoru, when your in the air, that Jiro will not be able to reach you. He has no chance. In fact, if what my spirit told me was true, he holds the ground spirit of Coyote. He has no jumps and no ranged attacks.
YORU: PERFECTTT BAH BAH BAH! Up here, he can't hit me, and I, can TORTURE HIM!
TAKA: Yoru, your thirsty for blood, hmm hmmm hmmmm. I like that.
