In the last chapter, Pheonix was revealing the truth about the fifth kingdom, the kingdom of darkness. Now, just as Jiro and Coyote thought that the load had already dumped on them, Pheonix continued with his tales...

PHEONIX: The great war of the elementals, which some also call the great mythical war, took place a hundred or so years ago. That battle is one that marked the end of an old era, and the beginning of a new one. And as I had mentioned, a certain old friend of mine had caused this battle.

JIRO: *clenches fist* That Wendigo...

COYOTE: I'LL RIP HIM TO SHREDS I SWEAR! *growls and gnarls teeth*

PHEONIX: *laughs* well...the Wendigo yes, but it's the holder who really caused it all.

JIRO: The holder? Who were they?

PHEONIX: During this time there were 5 of the bravest and strongest mythical spirit holders known to man, of course the one eventually turned rotten, however that doesn't mean he wasn't just as great.

JIRO: So, it was a man?

PHEONIX: Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves, let me start with the oldest of the 5 and make my way down. The first man, the holder of none other than yours truly, the Pheonix, the great Tsubasa... *smiles and looks down in a little bit of sadness*

JIRO: Tsubasa...now that's a badass name.

PHEONIX: He was 46 at the time of the war, a vetted man who originally fought as a samurai in Japan who lived a normal life until he was 20, until he was captured by the fire kingdoms army and revealed to be a descendant of the former king. Tsubasa was aware of the spirit animals at the time, as before the war many were. But he never had a spirit animal. However, he quickly adapted. He mastered his element in a little less than a year and never turned his back on his people since.

JIRO: Whoa...to be thrown into a life like that and adapt that fast is crazy.

PHEONIX: Next, we move down to the second oldest. This man is of Scandinavian blood and goes by the name Erik.

COYOTE: What is he a Viking?

PHEONIX: No, but he has the heart of one for sure. Erik was the holder of the mythical spirit animal Centaur. Erik was a noble holder for his spirit animal, some said the perfect match. Erik was born into royalty and lived and served under his father in the Earth Kingdom for many years. Erik was also a non-spirit animal holder from birth, so it was just him and Centaur.

JIRO: So, we're 2 for 2 already huh? I mean Tsubasa and Erik had to be a crazy duo if they ever fought together.

PHEONIX: *chuckles* We can talk about those stories another time...but for now let's move onto the middle child. Smack dab between the second oldest, and the second youngest, her name is Mila.

JIRO: A queen in the fray huh?

PHEONIX: 1 of 2 on this list actually, spoiler alert. Mila was much like Erik in the sense that she was brought up into royalty, however she is the first on this list to already have had a spirit animal before acquiring her mythical powers.

JIRO:  HUH? So, like......

COYOTE: Us!

PHEONIX: Yes...like you two. And also similar to coyote, Mila had a main species spirit animal, which was of the main species jellyfish. This means she had powers to pull from every species of jellyfish. Before even gaining her powers from Cthulhu, she had powers like camouflage, electrocution, speed, organ shifting, and more.

JIRO: DAMN! I mean thinking more about it, Jellyfish species all are very unique, and each one does do different things. So having a main species like Jellyfish is a blessing because all the individual species combined have so many tools at use.

COYOTE: (This kid is a lot smarter now huh)

JIRO: Huh...man I wish I had jellyfish as a main species spirit; you suck coyote *laughs*

COYOTE: (I take back that thought)

PHEONIX: *laughs at Jiro's comment* Good observation Jiro, yes, she had a lot of tools to pick form her individual species for sure.

JIRO: My question is this though, how was she able to get Cthulhu to bond with Jellyfish?

PHEONIX: Simple, love.

COYOTE: HUH? That big sea monster...is a loverboy?

PHEONIX: *giggles* well we don't have genders remember, but I guess you can say that yes, Cthulhu indeed was a lover boy. Mila was also a very affectionate and easy-going person, so it was not long before her charm got to that giant mushy octopus.

JIRO: *laughs* Hey aren't those your friends your main fun of?

PHEONIX: Let's call them acquaintances.

COYOTE: Yeesh...awkward.

PHEONIX: Mila however was a great queen; she took the throne after her aunt and was a very strong leader. So was the second youngest, the other queen in this group who had the spirit animal of dragon and was the queen of the skies.  Her name, Helena.

JIRO: Helena, Queen of the skies huh.

PHEONIX: Indeed, and before she even had the mythical spirit of dragon, she was soaring through the sky with her spirit animal, the Gyrfalcon.

JIRO: Gyrfalcon?

PHEONIX: Yes, the Gyrfalcon, of course like any falcon is fast and dangerous at certain speeds. But the Gyrfalcon is also known as the largest falcon species. Helena was the biggest and boldest girl in the skies, Helena was only 22 when she became Queen, taking the throne after her father, the former king had passed. Helena's bonding process with Gyrfalcon and dragon apparently took quite some time, as dragon did not want to become one with the bird, and would rather it be him who is summoned instead.

JIRO: What do you mean?

PHEONIX: Well, it only has happened once with me and Coyote, in the fields that day when we were fighting Yami.

JIRO: Oh yeah, when me and Coyote spun through the air...

PHEONIX: Do you remember how he looked? Or Coyote, do you even remember?

COYOTE: Actually, now that you say it, in the moment I wasn't focused no...

JIRO: I think I do, he had these lines of red around his ribs and even his face glowing red, almost like he was on fire.

PHEONIX: You see, the bonding of a spirit animal and a mythical spirit animal means that the elemental power which the mythical holds is now being granted to the spirit animal, as well as any power that the mythical spirit animal themselves may have. But, bonding a mythical spirit animal with a normal spirit animal also means that anytime you're summoning your mythical spirit animal, it is just your normal spirit animal with sometimes enhanced cosmetics, or some would say a "more badass look" as Tsubasa would call it. At least that's what he would say anytime Helena and Mila would summon their spirit animals.

JIRO: So, you mean like those fiery glowing lines I was seeing on Coyote?

PHEONIX: Yep. You see Jiro, I know at a time you thought it was rare that you were able to somehow contain the fire elemental powers and your spirit animal, but this is something that has happened multiple times with multiple spirit animal holders throughout history. Helena and Mila are just two examples.

JIRO: Damn...so for a moment you two actually got along then, right?

PHEONIX AND COYOTE: *stares at each other a little annoyed*

JIRO: THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THAT MEANS HUH, HAHAHAHAHA

PHEONIX: Yes.

COYOTE: *rolls eye* Whatever...

JIRO: All that bitching you guys were doing earlier and you had already bonded without even knowing it.

COYOTE: WELL IT AINT HAPPENING AGAIN!

JIRO: *karate chops Coyote* Anyways...Pheonix? You just listed only 4 of them though, right? What about the last one, the one we really wanna hear about...

PHEONIX: Ahhh, well I guess we're at that part anyways, right? So, allow me to introduce you to the fifth, the one hailing from the kingdom of darkness, Xerxes.
