January 20, 1982

Washington D.C

Jack wiped his mouth as he walked out of the bathroom. That was the third time today that he had thrown up. He knew it was his Addison's, this always happened when he had an attack, vomit, fatigue, dizziness. He closed his eyes tight as he walked into Kate's bedroom, which was booming with excitement, as Janet fixed the final touches on Kate's hair and makeup. As Jack walked in Kate's heart dropped,

"Again?"

"Yea, but I'm fine Kate. Go, enjoy your night with Matt you deserve it, you look gorgeous, like your mother"

"Daddy, I don't have to go, I really don't want you home alone like this" Jack's grip was tight on Kate's hand as the two walked down the stairs to the front door

Just as they got to the bottom of the steps the doorbell rang

"Your going, end of story" Jack said opening the door, reveling Matt in his tux

"Wow, Kate, you look amazing"

After pictures where taken, Kate kissed her father goodbye

"Take it easy please, I'll be home before 12, I love you"

And just like that the two where off to homecoming, leaving Jack alone in the house.

He climbed the stairs to his room, entering as a dizzy spell overtook him, causing him to collapse to the floor, hitting his head on the bedpost on the way down, which made the back of his head to bleed all over the white carpet.

"Bye Matt I love you"

"Bye beautiful"

The two kissed before Kate walked into her home.

"Daddy!, I'm home!" Kate figured since Jack was the helicopter parent that he would still be awake, so when she got no answer she decided to go make sure he was asleep.

As she opened the door her worst fears where confirmed, she quickly ran to her father, falling to her knees next to him, getting blood all over her brand new white homecoming dress.

"Daddy! Daddy! can you hear me?"

Absolutely no movement, no answer

Kate quickly ran back down stairs throwing her heels off in the way down. She opened the door to see Matt just getting into his car.

"Kate?"

"Call 911!" She cried running back up to her father

"Kate what the hell?" He said running into Jack's room, with the phone up to his ear, to see his girlfriend on the floor with her fathers bleeding head in her lap.

"Go to the bathroom and get me a towel, you know where they are in my room, go, go, go!"

After a couple of minutes the paramedics, rushed into the Kennedy home. Matt directing them in the right direction.

They immediately get him loaded up as Kate gets into the ambulance with her father.

"What's your relationship with him?" The paramedic asked Kate

"I'm his only daughter, I had homecoming tonight and came home to him like this I- I don't know what happened"

"Does you dad have any medical conditions?"

"He has Addisons, and suffered from depression, after my mom died"

"Was anything off today about him?"
