I was working on my homework when all of a sudden I started feeling sick to my stomach and heard a loud ringing in my ears. I groaned and clutched my head, but it only got worse.
What the hell?!
I tried to stand but fell to my knees.
"F-Friday!"

"Yes, Ms. Stark?"

"C-Call Peter!" I cried, clutching my head.

"I'm on it, Ms." Friday said and I was left to my groaning and throbbing head. "I'm sorry, Ms. Stark. The call is unable to go through because of connection errors."

"What errors?" I said a bit louder as the ringing in my ears got louder.

"His Spider-Man suit is activated."

"Why-AH!" I cried.

"Kathleen!" Peter's voice rang through my head. My eyes widened, the ringing suddenly stopped, and if my heart was beating fast before, it was speeding now. "Friday, ready my suit!" I staggered to my closet and pushed the button for it to reveal my Iron suit that I originally stole that Tony let me keep as my emergency suit. I jumped in and flew to Peter's location.

As I got closer to his location I saw a man in a suit like a bird with Spider-Man in his claws. I tried to get there in time to stop him, but the bird-like man dropped the red and blue arachnid in the lake below.
"NO!" I cried and tried to fly into the water, but was stopped by Friday. "Friday, I have to save him, he'll drown!"

"This is one of Mr. Stark's prototype suits. It is not equipped with the water proof feature."

I huffed, "Fine, I'll save him myself!" I switched the release button and dived into the lake.

It was dark, but I could see a struggling Peter wave around in his parachute. I dug through the parachute and by the time I found him he was barely moving, most likely unconscious. I cut his parachute off and swam to the surface, inhaling deeply as I struggled to carry Peter and swim at the same time. I eventually swam to the edge of the lake and pulled him to the shore. As I caught my breath, I frantically removed his mask and he jolted up, coughing. I sighed and helped him turn over to cough out the water in his lungs.

"K-Kathy!" He heaved. I held him close, sobbing.

"I-I thought you drowned! I thought I was too late! I thought-" my voice broke back into sobs and I rocked him back and forth, still terrified. He put one hand to his chest and the other to the side of my head, also relieved I saved him.

"I'm okay... I'm okay..." He whispered, partially reassuring me and partially reassuring himself. I heard a familiar sound of engines blasting and I knew exactly who it was.
Tony.
I loosened my grip on him a little and we saw one of Tony's suits flying over head.

"Peter, you first. What were you thinking?!"

"The guy with wings is obviously the source of the weapons! I gotta take him down!"

"Take him down now, huh?! Stand down, Pete. There are people who handle this sort of thing."

"Like the Avengers?"

"Uh-uh-uh! This is a little below their pay grade."

"Anyway, you didn't have to come all the way down here, I had that I was fine!" I gave him a look as I helped him sit up and rubbed his back.

"Oh, I'm not..." the suit retracted the mask, revealing an empty suit. "...here. Thank god, Kathleen's telepathic or you would be toast right now."

"Friday-?" I started.

"Told me, yes. Look, forget the flying vulture guy, please!"

"Why?!"

"Why?! Because I said so! Stay close to the ground, build up your game, helping the little people, like that lady that bought you the churro. Can't you be a friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man?"

"But I'm ready for more than that now!" Peter whined.

"No you're not." The mask covered the helmet again.

"That is not what you thought when I took on Captain America and Kathleen!" He gestured to me.

"Trust me, kid. If either one of them wanted to lay you out, either one would've." Peter looked back at me and I pressed my lips together into a line and shrugged, partially agreeing with Tony's words. Peter rolled his eyes and looked back to the suit. "Listen, if either of you come across these weapons again, call Happy." We heard a car engine turn on from wherever he was.

"Are you driving?"

"You know, it's never too early to start thinking about college. I gotta go, Leen-Bean, we'll talk later. End call."

"I don't need to go to coll- Mr. Stark!" Peter stammered.

"Mr. Stark is no longer connected." Friday said flying away. Peter sighed and looked away. I rested my head on his shoulder and held his arm.

"Please listen to him, Pete. Okay?" He kept his eyes to the lake. "I know you feel like you have to, but trust him on this. Trust me on this." He sighed again and nodded, standing up.

"Thanks for saving me, Kathy..."

"I'm just glad you're okay. Do you wanna ride to... somewhere?"

"No, no I'm okay... you can go back home."

"Okay..." as I saw him walking away, I spoke up once more, "Peter!" He turned around. "I'm serious. Think about what he said." He nodded and kept walking so I flew back home.
