2 days later...

After watching the morning news and seeing that the President was being held hostage by a super strong, blonde, Russian woman, Peter and I ran from the kitchen to my lab and, upon entering, my new suit immediately came to my body and began building around me.  I grabbed my shield and I noticed Peter looking somewhat worried and concerned.  "What's up?"  I asked.

"I could help you?"  He asked as a response and I shook my head.

"I have to do this on my own."  I replied.  "You know that if it was anyone else, I'd ask for help, but it's Strucker.  This is a Phoenix thing."

Peter gave a tight-lipped smile and nodded.  "I know, I just..." he trailed off and kissed my forehead, cupping my cheeks.  "Be safe."

"I will, I promise."  I assured him and my mask flipped on.  "I 'like you' like you!"

"I 'like you' like you too."  He said, back as I began to fly away, but he quickly shot a web at my hand, stopping me.

"What?"  I called, flipping my mask up momentarily.

"If you need backup..."  he started.

"You'll be the first I call."  I finished and Peter detached his web.  "See you in a minute."  I winked and my mask flipped up once again.  This time, I flew away without anyone stopping me.

*Maeve's POV*

I held my gun to the President's head, watching him tremble in fear.  "Why-Why are you doing this?!"  He asked, shakily.

"Because your country's guardian angel isn't as pure as you all think she is, for too long has she been running scot free, playing superhero with no consequences."  I growled.

"W-Who are you talking about?  What did she do?"

"You're precious Phoenix killed my father."  I said, my cold eyes turning soft for a moment, but with a hard blink, they went back to being filled with hatred.  "I wanted to kill her father, but he's already dead, so I'm going to watch as her world crumbles around her just like how mine has been every single day."

"Come on, Maevie."  I heard a new, annoying voice say, one that I painfully recognised.  "Now, that's a little mean."  Kathleen Stark said, dressed in a star-spangled iron suit while holding the Captain America shield in her hand.
