A/n: remember you are beautiful! This story talks about being insecure but also transforming your body in a healthy way 💕
Walking around the corridors to get to lunch on time was something I hardly ever did alone, my boyfriend of two years, Oliver Wood had to help McGonagall with something and would be with me at lunch later than everyone else.
Not that I minded walking alone, but Oliver was my safe place, he kept my head high and was always there to pick me up when I fell... literally because I was clumsy.
He was my home, when someone gave us rude looks he would wrap his arm around my waist or around my shoulder if we were walking in a group with our friends.
When he had to do work for teachers or for the quidditch team, I either tagged along or I would be left alone, I didn't mind too much but I sometimes got in moods that I needed his guidance.
Today was one of those days.
I got to the great hall, as lunch was prepared and displayed across all the houses tables, it wasn't an extravagant meal but it was set out nicely, I sat down next to the Weasley twins who were my best friends and who I would often sit with if Oliver was out doing something.
"Nice to see you y/n." George said, smiling genuinely. I smiled back and was about to grab a sandwich from the stack in front of me, until I heard girls whispering and giggling on the opposite side of the table a few spaces down.
Angelina, Katie and Alicia were sitting together and looking at me before looking back at one another giggling and obviously making fun of me in some way or another.
"Yeah Oliver is way out of her league." One of their voices said.
"Yeah, like what does he see in her? Surely she hasn't looked in the mirror anytime soon." They giggled again.
I stopped reaching for a sandwich and sunk down in my seat, Fred and George, who were busy in conversation with one another stop and noticed my appearance quickly.
"Hey what's the matter y/n?" Fred asked, as he was closer to me. He put a hand on my back in a comforting manner.
"Nothing." I said, standing up and walking quickly out of the great hall, but not fast enough as I heard one last remark about me.
"We probably hurt her pathetic little feelings. She's probably gonna tell Oliver on us." The girls laughed.
I looked back with tears in my eyes as I saw Fred and George give me a look of sympathy as I walked away quicker, not daring to show the girls that they did get to me this time.
Fred's POV:
After y/n got up to leave, I knew something was the matter. She always ate something, even if it was just a small cracker.
"We probably hurt her pathetic little feelings. She's probably gonna go tell Oliver on us now." Katie Bell had said.
I looked back at y/n who looked like she was gonna cry at any second, before continuing to walk out of the hall. I was shocked to hear what the girls were saying about y/n, and had to make sure she was okay since Oliver was being put to work.
I tapped George's shoulder before motioning him to follow me. As we walked through the halls in hopes to find y/n. We found her leaning at the bottom of the stairs crying her eyes out. My heart broke at the sight, I hadn't romantically loved her, but loved her like a sister, just like she was another Ginny.
George and I sat down on each side of her, rubbing her back comfortingly.
"We heard what they said, they will not get away with it, y/n." George spoke.
"Yeah, how about we go find Oliver?" She nodded as we helped stand her up before sandwiching her between us as we walked through the halls to find her boyfriend.
Y/n's POV:
We walked through the halls, and as if on cue we found Oliver leaving McGonagall's classroom. As soon as he turned our direction to walk, I started to run towards him, immediately wrapping myself around him. I couldn't keep my tears from falling as he softly hugged me back, before realizing it was me and hugging me tightly.
The twins had caught up to us as Oliver gave them a questioning look.
"Katie, Angelina and Alicia were talking smack about y/n."
He held me tighter if that was possible, stroking my back before humming in my ear, something that always comforted me.
"What'd they say?" His voice came out sounding broken, hoarse.
"They were saying you were too good for me, that you could do better."
"You know they're not right, if anything you're too good for me." He looked down at me before wiping stray tears from my face.
"My love, I'm so sorry." Oliver whispered, and I nodded.
"It's okay."
"No it's not, we aren't going to let them get away with this. They'll be removed from the quidditch team immediately." McGonagall spoke behind us. I smiled at her as she nodded in my direction.
"Thanks Professor." I said before she walked away.
"Did you eat anything at lunch?" Oliver asked softly, I looked down before shaking my head. He sighed.
"Are you hungry, truthfully?" I shook my head.
"Oliver can I start working out with you?" I met his gaze as he looked at me shocked.
"Babe you're perfect, don't think that you aren't."
"I'm not, I want to work out with my boyfriend. Besides, I could use some exercise anyways."
"If that'll make you happy, sure." He smiled as he guided me to the quidditch pitch. Once we got inside the grass he started to run laps around the field, I took a deep breath before following him.
"There's my girl." He smiled as I caught up to him.
We ran about six laps, I had stopped after six and followed Oliver's lead in stretching. Feeling happier, and healthier already.
