The atmosphere at Hogwarts was a lot darker than it was when you left it. When you left it was right after Dumbledore died, and since then Snape had taken over the headmaster role.

There was tension in the air, from students, professors, and the death eaters who had arrived outside of the school ready to fight to the death.

Hogwarts Alumni including Percy Weasley, Oliver Wood, Katie Bell all returned back to their once safe place to help fight in the battle that will change the Wizarding world forever.

You stood alongside Hermione, Ron and your boyfriend Harry all linking hands in silence before the war officially started.

"Harry I'm scared." You stammered, quietly as you leaned closer to Harry.

"I know, but you have to be brave for me. We don't know what the outcome will be, but promise me you will stay strong." He whispered, gasping for air. You nodded before he placed a kiss to your forehead before pressing a kiss to your lips.

You heard a loud crash as you four broke off before running in different directions. Neville was on the bridge, Ginny was out in the courtyard with the rest of her family as you and Hermione ran into the chamber of secrets to get the basilisk fang.

"You can't be scared y/n, you have to do this. For me, for Ron, for Harry." She said, as I ripped the fang before destroying the Diadem that was owned by Rowena Ravenclaw.

Once I stabbed the center of the blue diamond, water came flooding from around the room. Hermione and I ran out before meeting back up with Ron, in a distance you saw Harry leaning against a wall, weak from the horcrux being destroyed.

He slowly stood up, as Voldemort got into all of our heads once again, ordering Harry to meet him in the Forbidden Forrest, I collapsed into Hermione's arms, as this could be the last time I see my boyfriend alive.

"You can't go." I pleaded, Harry shook his head, not daring to look at me before he went on his own out of the castle and into the forbidden forest.

I fell to the ground, Hermione and Ron desperately trying to pick me up, but it was no use, I was petrified on the ground, watching the man I love walk away slowly out of sight.

"He's going to be okay." Ron whispered in my ear as I woke up, I was laying on the ground where Harry once laid, before he left. I slowly stood up as him and Hermione dragged me to find Nagini, the final horcrux we had left to destroy.

We found her slithering around, but she ricochet any spell we launched her direction, opening her mouth and hissing loudly. We ran away from her, our wands tightly in our hands as we ran to the courtyard where the snake took the side of Voldemort once more.

Ginny and Arthur were walking ahead of us, as Neville lead us all from the castle to the courtyard where the Death Eaters came face to face with us. Hagrid held a body but I couldn't quite make out who it was.

"Ron? Who is that? That Hagrid's carrying." Ron squinted and shook his head, not being able to see clear enough.

"Harry Potter is dead!" Voldemort cheered, the group behind him cheering along as I screamed loudly, capturing everyone's attention.

"Stupid girl, Harry Potter is dead, from this day forward." Voldemort stared coldly at me, as I held a strong glare at him.

Voldemort went on to present a long monologue about his win in the battle, which only enraged the army of students and professors that still stood, making us feel on fire, wanting revenge. Then, I see Harry's body flop in Hagrid's arms before falling to the ground.

Harry was alive. He ran towards us, shooting spells at Voldemort while doing so before kissing me passionately in front of everyone. Neville ran forward to destroy Nagini before being sent back into the entrance of the great hall, before standing up once more and successfully chopping Nagini's head, which turned her into dust while also destroying Voldemort, weakening him.

Harry had started shooting at him, while Voldemort did the same, before his wand started to become weak as Harry grew stronger, destroying Voldemort completely as he turned to dust on the spot.

As Voldemort died, Harry smiled in victory before making his way over to me, picking me up and spinning me just like the lighter times. He pressed a kiss to my nose before putting me back down onto the ground.

"You did it!" I cheered as he chuckled. He nodded before grabbing my hand and walking me into the Great Hall.

There were dead bodies all along the floor, families mourning, and recovering after the fighting. The Weasley's leaning on one another at the side of the room, happy their side had won but still mourning the loss of Fred.

Hermione and Ron walked in, hand in hand just as Harry and I had, before looking down and smiling at one another.

Sometimes, good things come out of being scared.
