A/N: this is a bit of a different one shot compared to normal. This is one similar to the Brothers one shot with Fred and George, so this is one about your sibling relationship with Oliver.

Also, there isn't a lot of information on Oliver's family life, so I am completely making this all up for the sake of the story...

Oliver was three years old when he found out that he was going to be a big sibling. However, because he was so young, he didn't quite understand what was happening except for the fact that he would have someone to play with all the time and not just go home after a few hours.

Once his mother's bump got bigger he grew more excited with anticipation. He couldn't wait to play and teach the baby about his favorite games that he enjoyed playing.

Once the due date got close, Oliver spent time at his grandparents house while his parents could be at the hospital, the baby arrived three days late and was perfectly healthy. Once word of the baby's arrival got to the grandparents, they took Oliver straight away.

Once the three family members got to the hospital, they went straight to the room and got to take turns holding the baby girl who was wrapped firmly in light pink blankets.

"Ollie, do you want to hold her?" Oliver nodded as he got onto a big chair and followed his father's instructions as the baby was laid in his arms. The baby was sound asleep and Oliver watched his baby sister breathe steadily while in his arms.

When Oliver was eleven y/n was eight, the two became as close as siblings could get. They rarely argued and ultimately were the sibling goals.

Oliver discovered he had magical abilities once his mother was able to detect it. She was a witch while his father was a muggle. Y/n thought it was fascinating that her older brother held these abilities and she prayed her abilities would show too, so she could join her brother at Hogwarts.

When the family of three, as their father didn't join them at the train station, walked through the platform wall, y/n had to say goodbye to her brother. As he bent down and picked he up as she nuzzled her head in his neck.

"Promise to be good while you're gone?" His Scottish accent filling her ears and she nodded.

"I'm gonna miss you Ollie." She said as she pulled her face away, as tears welled up in her eyes.

"I'm gonna miss you too, peanut. Please don't cry." He wiped a tear away from her cheek.

"But what will I do without you?"

"I don't know, but I'll be home soon enough." He got on his knees and held her petite body close to him.

The train whistle started as Oliver boarded the train, leaving behind his younger weeping sister.

Three months into Oliver's first year he made friends with Percy Weasley, the third oldest child in the Weasley family who told him all about his rather obnoxious younger brothers, Fred and George while Oliver exchanged stories of his angel-like sister, y/n. Percy begged Oliver to trade siblings, which made Oliver realize how truly lucky he was to have a sibling like the one he had.

One day while the two were doing homework in the common room, an owl appeared at the window. Percy stood up and retrieved the post that the owl was holding before letting the owl fly back to the sender.

He looked at the crisp cream colored envelope to see it was addressed to Oliver.

"Oliver, this is for you." Percy handed the envelope to his friend as he sat down and crossed his legs before continuing to work on his potions essay.

Oliver tore open the envelope to see a letter written by his mother, saying that his father was killed in a car accident. Oliver's eyes widened before looking at Percy. He handed the letter to Percy who scanned it rather quickly.

"My godric, Oliver I'm so sorry." Oliver nodded before the two boys stood up, leaving the common room to go to Dumbledore's office.

"Y/n must be heartbroken right about now." Oliver sighed as he knocked on the door before hearing a 'come in' in which Oliver walked in.

"Ah, Mr. Wood, what can I offer you assistance with?" Dumbledore rose from his chair.

"I got this letter, my dad was killed. I need to go home." He put the letter down on the desk before Dumbledore scanned it over.

"That can be arranged." Oliver walked out of the office and headed to his dorm, grabbing a few things and stuffing it in a trunk before walking back out to Dumbledore's office.

Dumbledore used a spell to apparate Oliver back to his family home, where he walked through the front door to see his mother and sister crying on the couch, snuggled with one another. Oliver closed the door and locked it before putting his trunk down and joining the pile on the couch.

3 years later and y/n had received her very own letter to Hogwarts, and she was very excited to once again grow closer to her brother, as she only got to see him during holiday breaks and the summer time. He always came back with stories about his time at Hogwarts and all about his friends and newfound love for quidditch.

Now the time came where both siblings got to attend Hogwarts at the same time. On the train ride there, they sat with Percy and his younger siblings, Fred and George. You smiled as they told you about their experience at first years, as they were going into their second year. You smiled and could tell you three will be the best of friends.

Once you arrived at Hogwarts, you joined the other first years while your brother and new friends sat at the Gryffindor table.

"Y/n Wood." Professor McGonagall called out and you walked up to the small wooden seat where the sorting hat was placed on your head.

"Gryffindor!" Your house cheered as you sat down next to Oliver and across from the twins as you smiled and thanked everyone for their congratulations.

A few months later you had gotten bullied pretty badly, as your brother had already received a reputation in school and you didn't live up to it. You weren't great at Quidditch or any sport really, but you excelled in academics the way Oliver did with sports.

You were walking with the twins in the courtyard as you heard girls talking about you as you walked by, rude words stuck out to you as you ran to the Gryffindor common room, relieved to see your brother sprawled onto the couch. He saw your face and he sat up immediately, concerned for you.

"Are you okay?" You shook your head.

"What happened?" You ran into his arms as he wrapped his arms tightly around you, before rolling onto his back again, bringing you with him, just like you two would do when you were younger.

"Girls were talking about me, saying I'm not as good as you are." You cried into his chest as his grip tightened around you.

"You know what they said isn't true love, you know you're the smartest witch Gryffindor has. Don't worry about them, because you know that I think exactly the opposite of you." He whispered. You laid down on his side, with your back against the back of the couch, while he protected you from falling off the front of the couch. He continued to cradle you as if you were still a young child.

He stroked your hair as he knew it would calm you and your tears started to fall less frequently.

The portrait hole opened and in walked the Weasley Twins who had been frantically looking for you until they saw you asleep with your brother still wrapped around you.

Despite them being your best friend, they knew about the special bond between you and Oliver, and it made their hearts warm as they remembered the bond they had made with their youngest sibling, Ginny.
