DELANO POV

I feel like a new man. This beautiful place is turning me into a new man. Or maybe because I got some last night. But either way I feel refreshed. I left them sleeping and came out to get some fresh air. I couldn't be happier. And today was a special day as well. It was Salem's birthday. That's another reason I chose to take this vacation. We could do a low key thing for her. Hearing some noise I already knew she was up.

"Happy Birthday!" I said. She sat up in the bed still looking sleepy. Gia woke up "oh the birthday girl is up!". She took at the both of us confused. But she didn't wait to put her hands up for me to pick her up.

"I'm excited she gets to wear her dress today!" Gia said.

"Can you believe she's one already?" I asked.

"I know it went so fast" she said.

"But now she's a big girl now. And big girls sleep on their own beds". She mean mugged me. "Yes when we get home you are sleeping in your own bed". She started fake crying. Gia shook her head "some things never change".

The boys got up and spoiled Salem with attention for her birthday. This little girl was loving it.

"So what are we doing today?" Gia asked.

"Well it's her day. So whatever Salem wants to do" I said.

"That's cute and everything but all she'll want to do is hang on you all day" she said.

"Good point. Let me take the boys to get breakfast while you two get dressed. Then we'll figure out what to do" I said.

"Okay". She went back to the bathroom with Salem in toe. Me and the boys snuck out. Last thing I needed was Salem throwing a tantrum that we left. After our breakfast we went back upstairs. The scene I saw made me smile.

"I see the birthday girl is ready!" I smiled. She was too busy eating her snack to even respond. Gia smiled "the headache of getting her dressed". I still can't believe she's one. Now I know what Gia was talking about when Ryan turned nine. Kai came behind me to look at her. That right there made her move and go after him.

Once Gia was ready as well. We went down to go into town. Salem was causing on lookers to come up to her. And she kept mean mugging them. "I love her attitude" Gia said.

There was a small bakery on the corner of the street we were walking on. We went in there and ordered a small cake. The counter person brought the cake to the table with plates and utensils. Gia explained to the woman it was Salem's birthday today. She brought over a candle and lit it. We all sang happy birthday to her.

"Blow out the candle!" Kai yelled. Obviously she couldn't so Gia blow it out instead. "So no one gets cake until Salem gets her piece first" I said. I guess Kai wanted to be a big brother. He swiped the cake with his finger and put the frosting on Salem's face. She screamed and grabbed kai's head and pushed it into the cake.

Ryan laughed "I guess we are not eating cake". Salem laughed uncontrollably. Gia and I helped Kai up with cake all over his face. Salem took a piece off his head and ate it. I apologized to the woman for the mess they made.

Ryan hugged Salem "that was hilarious". Poor Kai was pissed. He kept trying to get the cake out of his hair. "Don't be mad. No one told you to put the cake on her face" Gia said. He didn't say anything.

"Just let him be until he calms down" I said. We couldn't let Kai walk around in the heat with cake in his hair so we had to go back for him to shower. Gia went in to help him wash his hair.

He came out the bathroom still upset. Salem looked at him and walked over with her arms open. He looked confused on what she was doing but realized when she wrapped her small arms around him.

I guess it was her way of saying sorry. Strange!.

"Awww she's sorry for what she did" Gia said.

"She can't go beating him up and saying sorry when she does it" I said.

"It's weird how there relationship is" she said. We ordered room service for dinner. After what happened I didn't need a repeat of it. Since it was still her day we just let her do what she wanted. Kai and her fell out together on his bed. Ryan soon followed.

"You are a good mom" wrapping my arms around gia. "And you're a good dad" she said.

"I can show you what else I'm good at" I whispered. She smirked "oh really? And what's that?".

"Come with me and I will show you" pulling her into the bathroom closing the door. It's a vacation I'm trying to get some as much as possible. You can't do much when Salem is in our bed with us.
