Name: Parabella "Pebbles" Bluestone

Age: 15

Gender: female

District: 2

Appearance: It's no  wonder how Parabella earned her nickname. She is very short for her age,  couple that with her elfin frame and delicate appearance, and it's  understandable how she's easily lost in the crowd of her home district.  The tall and bulky stone-masons and the strong and powerful Careers  tower over her; She's nothing more than a pebble in their path.  Everything about Parabella is small. Her hands, her feet, her ears, her  nose, her shoulders, her waist, small. She spends little time outside,  and her pale complexion reflects that. Her big brown eyes- the only  large thing on her- are her most noticeable feature, giving her a look  of childish innocence. Her wavy hair is a mixture of sandy browns and  grays, and hangs just past her shoulders.

Personality: Sure  Parabella may be small, but her loud personality makes up for it  tenfold. Nicknamed Pebbles by the older kids at training her first year,  she's spent every day since trying to get the other Careers to forget  it. Parabella likes to be noticed. Whether the attention she earns is  good or bad, she doesn't care, as long as she's not ignored. As a result  of always being teased, she has a short temper and will snap without a  thought. Her mouth tends to work faster than her brain, and sometimes  she'll say things that are a bit cruel. I would say don't get on her bad  side, but she's witchy to everyone. She's only fifteen now, so she  hasn't had as many years of training as she would have liked before  going into the Games, but she knows how to kill and does it well. Any  moral standards she may have had growing up have been trained out of  her, murder is nothing but a game to her, and you can often see her  laughing over the wounds she inflicts. She's not one to follow orders  and would rather be the one to take charge in a group situation. So what  if she's small? She will NOT be underestimated by her size.

Background: Parabella is  certain that she would have been one of the greatest Careers in history  had she been able to train until she was eighteen. Her mother was a  Victor, her father is a trainer at District Two's Career Academy. As  their only child, it is up to Parabella to maintain her family's honor  and bring home the Victory crown. When Parabella was young, before her  training began, she was very sweet and quiet. She was shy around new  people and hardly spoke. Her parents were worried that she would be a  failure as a Career and were hesitant when enrolling her in the Academy.  Just as they expected, she was weak and didn't enjoy the fighting. The  older children picked on her because she didn't belong there, and gave  her the nickname Pebbles because of her small form and even smaller  personality. Unhappy with the way she was treated, Parabella dedicated  herself to proving them wrong. She spent every waking moment in the  training center from then on. She trained with every weapon she could  get her hands on and learned every fighting style they could teach her.  It got to the point where combat was all she had, and she didn't mind at  all. She began to enjoy it. When the older kids picked on her or called  her Pebbles now, she would snap back at them, or simply drop them with a  kick to the gut. This was not supposed to be her year in the Games. She  was supposed to enter when she was eighteen. But when she was reaped  this year, the eighteen year old who was supposed to volunteer refused.  She insisted that if Pebbles was so tough, she could handle herself in  the Games just fine. And now Parabella has another thing to prove, which  as the past shows, is all the motivation she needs.

Weapon of Choice: a stiletto dagger, delicate and deadly just like her.

District Token: A  leather-cord headband that wraps around her forehead with hanging pewter  beads and black feathers on the ends. It was her mother's token when  she won her games, and it was given to Parabella when she first began  her training. It's her favorite and only accessory and she always wears  it. Her mother says the headband is styled after an ancient fashion  trend known at one time as "Hippie".
